Hi everyone, one for the ladies.. I am wondering if fibromyalgia can cause missed periods. I normally get them every 3 weeks, they have been extremly light since having my son 2 years ago and since being given the positive for fibro. This was one of the first signs.
But now, i am quite late for my period, Ive done one pregnancy test and ill do another one in a couple of days just to be sure but it was negative. Ive had tender boobs and mood swings, but nothing! I have low estrogen and progesterone. I am trying maca powder in my protein shake to help with the hormones. Ive been in a lot of pain and just waiting for my appointment with the rheumatiod. Im not on any medication or other supplements except the occasional vit c.
Im really distressed because Im only 33, I have an only child but id love more.
Laalaa, I can't say if fibro is the cause of cycle irregularities. My fibro started in 2007. I lost my uterus in 1995 at age 34 for severe hemorrhagic cycles, then my ovaries in 2003 for cystic tumors. My family history is the women start menopausal changes early (30-35). They now call that perimenopause. Try not to stress because that definitely causes cycle issues. Hugs love & prayers! 🙂💕🙏🌸
