Is this fibro?

Nov 07, 2016 9:36 PM

I itch most of each day and night from my chest to my neck to my shoulders and all the way down to my wrists. It feels like my nerves are on fire....if I scratch it burns worse. It used to be just shoulder and upper arms now it's spread out! I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but wondering if anyone else has this symptom and any suggestions besides the fibro lotions, they don't help me. 😭

Is it an itchy feeling or more so a crawling sensation. I do itch sometimes but mostly it's a crawling sensation with pulses of pressure. I'm still new this world and I'm learning that fibromayalgia has so many overlapping symptoms. So most times if I have a pain or sensation I can not explain I just say it's fibromayalgia.

It's itchy or stinging. IT'S not restless leg syndrome thst I gave once in a while.

Have you spoken to your dr about your symptoms?

Heather, sounds like it could also be RSD/CRPS.. it's very painful and tends to burn and if someone touches an area that hurts, it is amplified by this issue. It also tends to settle into surgical areas as well as areas where you sustained injuries. Check with your neurologist and see what they say. Sending well wishes, good karma and positive vibes your way. {{{Hugs}}}💕😊

I have fibromyalgia, sjogrens, hypothyroidism, and they can all cause itching (pruritis) and neuropathies, according to my docs. Bless me heart, I have them all! Lol 😉 Eucerin & Aveeno lotions help with the itching sometimes but sometimes I must use cortisone itch ointments. Gabapentin is suppose to help the neuropathies, and does most of the time. At least it's less severe than before the gabapentin. Hugs love & prayers you find something to get some relief and soon! 🙂💕🙏🌸

I've spoken to my primary about it and she brushes it off like it's fibro. I don't have a neurologist.
