I've got the cure for fibromyalgia/Lupus.... "You need to get this"!

Sep 03, 2017 11:14 AM

This is another rant! It drives me crazy when people that don't have fibro or Lupus or anything else. I'm including Lupus because people always think its one in the same. If I get another IM, text message or call telling me to try another drink or pill that is suppose to cure me I'm going to scream. 🀀 I've been told that Zurvita will cure my fibro. I actually tried this one, my friend said it cured her friends Lupus. 😩 It didn't help me, it gave me spurts of energy. Epic fail I still have the pain and needless to say I'm not cured. Then someone told me to get Juice Plus. Again, it gave me energy but it doesn't take away the pain. Now there is a new savior the next cure Kangen Water this lady said it cured her Lupus, πŸ€₯ I should try it. I'm getting irritated at this point. 😬 Another, suggested the NRC technique. I'm not sure if that really helps. I'M tired of ones saying that people have been cured!😀 There is no cure last time I checked. However, when I first got diagnosed I tried some of these things with wishful thinking. It didn't cure me. Do you have Lupus or fibromyalgia??? If not, then shut up about these cures it gives people a false sense of hope.πŸ˜” In the beginning I was trying everything. HOWEVER, I was still in pain and wasted lots of $$$$$. If another person tell me about a random drink or pill that cures fibromyalgia or Lupus I'm going to lose it😑. Then when you say "Im not interested" they act like I must want to be in pain.... Seriously! 😦

I understand! This reminds me of the different diets that are supposed to "cure"... They are sometimes very different from each other, so I don't know how to trust them

Until it is proven... I'm not trying nothing.

Sep 03, 2017 12:10 PM

Ugh πŸ˜‘ I hate it when people say things like this! I'm not trying anything until it's proven either πŸ™„πŸ’•

It's a waste of time and money. People need to stop saying that it cures fibromyalgia and Lupus. Some of them even say it helps with cancer. It's a false sense of hope.

It definitely is! πŸ’•

It's been so irritating for me. I guess because I know it's not going to work. It just reminds me that nothing is going to fix me. So every time I hear this is going to cure me it's like a slap in the face. I get so upset...😑 I guess eventually I'll learn to deal with it just like all the other ignorant comments. However, for now it gets under my skin!😬

Years ago I would buy and buy all these supplements that "promised" help. None of them worked and I wasted so much money. I had so much hope that SOMETHING would help. Now I'm that way with prescriptions from the doc. I secretly think "ya right". It's a cynical attitude but you could say I've been trained well. πŸ˜•πŸ˜•πŸ˜•

I had to tell off an old family friend, to the point where she no longer talks to me. She KEPT PUSHING! She was convinced that because she has gotten "healthier" since she went gluten and refined sugar free, that it would cure my Trigeminal Neuralgia. B frickin S. I loath the essential oils creeps, the vitamin or "magic" herbal juice pushers, the "just work out more" people, and the diet freaks. I am happy to hear that something worked for you, but as soon as you start pushing, and telling me you know what will heal my disease that you had never heard of 2 minutes ago, I am out. Just stop talking.

Lol. .Many years ago magnets were the thing. And I was a sucker in that i hadnt learned to be firm in my no's to pushy sales people. My daughter used that blanket (yes magnets were embedded in blankets and even mattresses) after it fell apart the magnets were removed and used to hang her art work on the fridge. Lol. Sure made that salesman mad since he convinced me to.sign up.for his marketing group nd i refused to.sell any.

Haha, I got the magnet pitch too, a friends grandparents wouldn't shut up until I held a magnet to my head for 20 minutes. SUPRISE! It did nothing for my damaged nerves... They looked so confused and sad when I sharply informed them it did nothing.

Lol Masking. I can't remember the name of the company but they were sure pushy.

I used to run an online support group back about a million years ago (Or so it seems). Not a week went by that a person trying to.sell the miracle cure would show up and try to quilt you into making a purchase or joining their team
Lol. Sure dont miss that.

I friend on fb told me ZEAL worked to eliminate his pain. I was like "no thank you". So after a couple weeks he told me about this drink again and said "No Thanks.lol He then sent me another message saying I purchased you a box and I will send it to you. So since it was free tried it for a month. Did absolutely NOTHING for the pain. It's did give me short pikes of energy but that's it. So, after i completed the month he asked "how I was doing" if I want to buy a box. He started telling me the prices so i asked him if he sold this product. He said 'yes" ummm that's not how he brought it to me. I thought he was just recommending the product because it worked for him. Nope!. Then he said "it might take a few months"🀀. No because i dont feel any effect from the nasty😝drink. I told him nope I'm done. Turns out he was selling the product. Yet he brought it to me like he knew about it because it helped him. He was lying, Just trying to sell a product. I think that is totally wrong when people do that!πŸ˜–

I was in sales but I didn't lie to people just to close a deal on a home. I told them the truth. So he didn't have to pretend that it worked for him. Either way I didn't buy it. πŸ˜•

Gosh. I don't like that either.

Thts the best ive heard it said... everyone thinks they can fix me and its not that bigger deal you know, ive even been told to exercise more because thats the reason im in so much pain and sick everyday... pft!!! Everyone who doesn't suffer from it seems to somehow be an expert on the topic... please! Every case is individual and should never be generalized... they have campaigns for understanding of every other disease why not a campaign telling people to back up, and keep they're opinions to theselves, and have some respect for what we are going through...
