I get this same kind of thing (when I don't wake up with a migraine), although it sounds like you're clenching your jaw rather than grinding your teeth, which I am guilty of. Either way, a mouth guard that goes over your teeth should help. Or if you're like me and prefer the cheap version, I find that falling asleep while chewing gum or with gum in your mouth can also help your teeth from clenching together, reducing stress on your jaw. That is, if you can manage it. If your jaw is cramping up on the regular, more bananas or avocados should also help with that, unless it's caused by another underlying condition. Good luck!
