Occasionally my hips, knees or jaw makes a clicking noise and feels like sandpaper. It usually happens when those joints are painful. Has anyone else's joints ever made clicking noises or feel like sandpaper?
I get clicks like when you explode these bubble plastic papers. I get them in the joints of fingers, wrists, hips, jaw...before getting diagnosed with fibromyalgia my doctor told me it was just gas but now I'm sure is related with the sickness and not sure how
My joints pop, Crackle, subluxation and dislocate. I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and the joint popping appeared the same time as the fibromyalgia pain. I've seen several doctors, but nobody can explain why my joints do this. Not sure this helps, but know you're not alone.
My injury was due to a fall so I have a shattered ankle. Probably the reason it clicks when I rotate it. I will say that sometimes stretching the ligaments/tendons helps and other times it doesn't do anything. Just have to find what works for you.
There is a theory, who knows if it's another one that will be debunked, but it says that small weather changes directly affect the flexibility of the ligaments and ligaments are general responsible for the non arthritic popping of the joints. I think there may be some validity for it..I know that right after a take a warm bath my joints don't pop as much and I generally hurt less for just a little while.
I believe it! As soon as the snow started last night my joints were popping in my wrists, knees. I went right in the bath with Epsom salt and felt much better for the rest of the evening. Waking up today is another thing!
