Joint Pain and Weather?

Feb 18, 2015 9:05 AM

Has anyone found a connection between joint stiffness pain and weather? Is it tied to pressure changes?

Yes Chris and it's a royal pain in the joint!! I find mine to be related to the cold and damp. Cold is bad, damp worse, and both requires plenty of layers and blankets. Tell us more of your joint pain...

I definitely have. Mine isn't necessarily linked to cold just temperature or pressure changes.

Definitely... Not only temp but humidity, barometric changes, rain, snow... It's a nightmare.

I am more accurate than any meteorologist!

Mine however is migraine not joints. The weather plays such an obvious factor in pain yet is still viewed as a wives tale by many.

Put any of them in Our shoes when a front moves through! Then they wouldn't roll their eyes at us! There is no doubt that weather plays a roll in my pain.

Big time pain with barometer change.

Plenty of blankets and layers for me, the cold is definitely a big part of my pain when it strikes...brrrr

Mild changes are usually no problem, but extreme changes like this week, and tonight especially, and I shake like a skeleton & hurt all over. My grandma made me a quilt 40 years ago from polyester suit cloth, and its awesome! Also, extreme heat hurts.

Good olé grandma! They sure are special. I am under a blanket that my grandma made too!! Very warm!
Feel better everyone, I know its rough right now but better days ahead.

is there an app that tracks joint pain and barometric pressure. This one might, but it cost a few bucks. Thanks.
