Keep losing my balance

Jan 24, 2016 10:01 PM

I don't feel dizzy, lightheaded or anything. I have lost my balance three times in the last hour and a half. It's always on my left. Do I have to be careful stepping into my left? I don't get it! This is a new symptom for me :(

Cdn..yes..I've had this for a few months now. I think it's an inner ear issue. In fact it happens a few months ago for me. I was drinking some tea and she I tiles my head back I started going backwards. It happens tonwhere I run into walla and all.

I caught myself twice on walls and once my husband caught me. Maybe I should go get checked out again. Ugh. I feel like I'm a nuisance to my Dr!

Does your ear bother you?

U r not a nuance.. It's ther jib to help u..and as far as my ears.. They do run and I get pains deep in my ear and I have sores but I don't really know where they come from. I have to use peroxide to clean then due to the soars. But no Dr has really address this symptom yet

My ears aren't bothering me at all. Typically when I get ear infections they get severe quickly.

CDN, same happens to me. This afternoon I turned from my bedroom door to go back and get my cell phone. Well, on the way to get it, I lost my balance, twisted and fell. I landed weird and now my lower back is hurting really bad and it hurts all the way down to my butt crack. I'm sure tomorrow is going to be a real joy. I wish I knew what to tell you but there are many of us here that seem to be having balance issues and/or tripping over nothing and falling over. I hope that you find what the issue is. For me, I have severe TMJ with narrowing of the ear canal. I think that's why my balance is off. It doesn't help that I'm sick and I have an infection in my left ear (the same one with the narrowing ear canal). {{{Hugs}}}πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ»

Just a comment, I have some strange Henrico ear problem where my ear is shaped so rain will fall in but never gone out. It males my head heavy and creates headaches, but the only way to get out the water is sticking Q tips inside further than you're supposed to.

It might also be how you walk. I recently had it pointed out that I walk word, so I'm trying to fix it, now that my big toe joint is inflamed and swollen.

I'm also pure clumsy, and have fallen, although I usually fall because of pain them don't remember it. My dad has found me kiting on the floor, not moving or speaking and the only explanation was falling. Definitely talk to your doc about it.

CDNgirl, I've battled with sudden imbalance for over 2 years. A neurologist suspected MS and sent me to Mayo clinic last summer. After testing they found I have Vestibular Neuronitis of the cranial 8 nerve, causing dizziness. But I also have a right side whole body weakness. I went through 8 wk of PT strength & balance training. It has helped tremendously, because I'm able to keep myself from falling down now. One thing most of us have in common is fibromyalgia &/or spine issues, so it's possible we have weakness related to these. You may want to talk to your doc. Hugs & prayers you find the cause and its easily helped! πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸŒΌπŸ’•

I have an appointment on Wednesday to talk to my doctor. I hope she is able to shed some light on if it's related to everything else or a completely separate issue.
