Kicked out

Dec 04, 2015 10:26 PM

My family is likely about to get kicked out of our house, more stress yay.

So tired of this.

Oh no Ferretbandit I am so sorry to hear that. You've been under such an incredible amount of stress lately. I'm sending you gentle {{{{Hugs}}}}. I wish there was something that I could do for you. Hang in there, Sweetie.🌻🙏🏻

I'm so sorry! I'm new here, but I can tell you it never rains unless it pours. My disability just got canceled because my pain doctor refused to fill out my abilities forms. I'm completely disabled and now facing bills and loss of medication and medical resources due to no income. I'm appealing it of course, but that could take a while. You might try what I am and open a go fund me account. You should look into it... Even if it's just a little, it could be the difference between eating and starving. Just a suggestion. Hope things work out for you! God bless and hope you have av pain free night

Wishing you were closer Ferritbandit. Keep us posted. We all worry about you. Has your family exhausted all options for help with housing? There are lots of programs that get rarely used because people do not know about them. Call city hall usually 211, also churches (just call them all) , the United Way, Red Cross, Salvation Army and shelters many will help with finances. Don't give up.

Find your local assistance group. Where I am it is Hopelink. I have a case manager who helps match me up with what my family needs. We (My husband, 10 year old & myself) lost our housing and they helped line us up with agencies who helped get us in housing and pay our deposits. We ended up homeless for almost 3 months.

211 can be a resource but if you can find a group that helps it is a million times better and they continue to work with you until your family is self sufficient again.

If I remember right you are in oregon. I looked it up and found this.

So far just looks depressing, we'll ultimately be okay but I'm just stressed extra cuz I might lose my dog, one of the few recent comforts in all the random stuff that keeps happening

I don't know, I've been venting in writing but I can't tell many people what's going on, because my opinion is...not normal? My period just started, final projects will be the next 3 days and today I couldn't function at all.

Oh what an awful thing to be struggling with. I fully empathise with your situation and the entailing stress. We ( my two children and I) went through exactly this last year. We ended up in homeless accommodation (overpriced and smelly!) for two months but were fortunate enough to be allowed to keep my cats. They originally refused them but I fought for them and they relented. Had to borrow money from family and enlist their help for moving.
We lived out of boxes for two months before we were offered a place to call home. Couldn't afford the move but the house was/is perfect. So glad to be in a settled home at last!
The stress from all the uncertainty, of not knowing if we'd end up on the street or permanently stuck in an homeless state was appalling. My health went downhill dramatically.
Right now though, being out the other end, I'm so glad we've been fortunate to find a good home from all the negativity.
Please hold on and believe it will lead to something better in a little while. I sincerely hope you can keep your furry family together with yourself. They make so much difference to our mental health. All fingers and toes crossed for you.
P.

Ferritbandit is your little dog a service dog does she/he act as a service animal for your needs. If so they can't refuse you having her with you. If I am not mistaken you have said that you have PTSD. If I am not mistaken you can go on line at sit stay.com and order patches for under $10 each. That says service dog in training. I had two for my service dog when I was training her. No one is supposed to be able to stop you from bringing your service dog in anywhere even if she/he is in training. You are going to do great on your production. Everything will work out for sugar just have faith. One door my close but another window will open.
