So not sure if most people care. But today was voting in Ohio for issue 1,2, and 3. And issue 3, being the one to legalize cannabis, did not pass :/ Over 1,000,000 people voted no. When will people realize a lot of people need this to help them :/
This just goes to show how fibro fog has messed with me today... I had no idea it was election day! Lol Read a news health magazine in the waiting room today. One article was on the top 50 national hospitals. The other article was on legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes. It was saying over half the nation's states are trying to pass legalizing it. But they also need to protect suppliers from the federal laws saying it's an illegal substance, and lawyers are baffled on how to word it. I wish I could remember the magazine. I think it was Scientific something. 🙏🌼
Oh I'm so sorry honey. At least your status putting it on the ballot. We don't have medical marijuana or anything in Texas. To close to Mexico they say. If they would just legalize it, they wouldn't have to smuggle it. Why is that so hard for people to understand? Whether they like it or not shouldn't be the issue. It should be that it helps, and once again, the state and the government are getting in the way of people like us, who need medication, and it is medication. I just found out recently, that the DEA won't let family doctors prescribe more than 0.5 mg of canal, and they can no longer prescribe pain meds like vicodin. Oh man, I'm getting off my soap box before I say something that's gonna get me in trouble. lol
That's sad. Cannabis is legal in Oregon, in fact a shop recently opened up a block away. Hopefully it will be legalized federally, but stayed could still ban it if they really wanted too. I hope people do realize it's a med, not just a recreational drug.
It's gonna take a long time to convince people of that. I'd give anything if they would do it here, but I won't live to see it happen. Maybe my granddaughters will see it happen by the time they are grown.
Its crazy. There's ALOT of people that are against regular medications like opiods that can be dangerous! (Not saying they don't help some people just stating facts) but they can't legalize something that is helpful for soooo many people. Like I'm not saying it's good to do illegal things. AT ALL. but me buying cannabis is one tmof the most helpful things for me. I just get so aggravated. And haha Cearea I gotta get off the soap box too XD
Texans are stubborn people. Look how long it took to get Gov. Perry out of office! They get set in their ways and don't want to change. I've lived here all my life. I'm just as stubborn as all the other Texans, but, I can see the bigger picture because of the pain. It will be the last state to make it legal. I watch.
Cearea w b at part of Tx do you live in? I live in Lufkin it it about 120 miles North of Houston. Deep East Texas. I asked my PCP what his stance was on medicinal mj and he said that there was no such thing that no has ever proved it sciencetificcaly. For give my spelling.
I'm in El Paso. No matter where you live here, you are no more than 20 miles from Mexico. Drs here think the same as your Dr does. They said it's only good for terminal cancer patients to maybe help with nausea from all the toxic chemicals they are pumping into them. That makes me mad. It helps them, but it helps others too. I've tried it a few times and it really helps. I just can't do it cause my Dr does random drug testing to see if his patients are in compliance.
Luckily my Dr is for it be has done a drug test once. (I tested positive) and I was like "I'm going to talk to her privately" and he said as long as I don't come into the office after using he is okay with it. I'm really lucky
I wish I could try it just to see if it works!! I don't want to take any chances on getting kicked out of pain management because of it. I don't want to have what little I get taken away from me (even though it only takes the edge off for me to function like a semi human). Hmm... What the hell is a semi human?!? I don't know where that came from.. LOL!!😜😳 At any rate, if my pain clinic becomes certified then I'll finally be able to try it. I hope if if do get to, that it helps so I can get off some of these pain meds!!🌻🙏🏻
Hmmm, here it's like most people know someone who grows it, and it's even more common since it was legalized. However, less chips coming down the street, so hey, maybe they can focus on break ins instead I've started using a topical rub, menthol and hemp. Really great painkiller, but no drowsiness or anything. It feels really cold when the aspirin rub feels really hot on my skin, so I use both. I've seen pain management once, and he didn't really want to add any new meds because I'd just started gabapentin or Lyrica. Haven't really gone back, my dad has come up with many meds that have actually worked, and are inexpensive (yay!)
I'd use a topical if I could find one that doesn't blister my skin. Icy Hot, or anything with capsaicin I can't use. btw, gabapentin and lyrics are not the same. Same class of drug, but they work in different areas. I take gabapentin, and I can't take lyrica. The only problem with gabapentin, keep a close eye on your teeth. It erodes them from under the gum line because of it leaching the calcium from your bones. That's the first place it will take it from. I have just a few real teeth left, but sadly they have to come out and I get a set of dentures. I'm only 51, so watch those teeth.
Cearea, I got dentures when I was 40 so don't feel bad. I never had a filling or a root canal in my life and then my teeth started breaking off at the gym line. Sometimes I'd be having a conversation with someone and spit out a tooth!! It was a nightmare and I've had dentures ever since.
