L5 SI fusion Feb 2017

Jan 20, 2018 10:26 AM

New to group. I have my first appt with pain clinic Monday due to increased pain again in back, buttock, legs 11 mos post op from L5 S1 fusion. MRI wasn't helpful because radiologists only commented on fusion and didn't compare my previous MRI. Fusion is fine so why is my pain back. Scared and frustrated for appt Monday. Thanks. I am 41

I have had L4-S1 it didn't heel right they redid it and they went through the front L4-L5 now! After all that I still have pain in (ass) lol and back and down back of legs! They want to fuse my cervical but I am not ready! I will fight the pain as much as I can!

I do exercise but it will only give some relief for a short time!

My L5 is fused to my tailbone yay lol. But the xrays show the fusion looks good. I know I have a slipped disc at L3 and stenosis and degenerative disc disease from prior scan. But new radiologist typed negative this time where those problems were. We only fixed L5 with surgery not other stuff. So now my new Dr is going to see negative like I was miraculous healed. I'm so confused and frustrated that I'm hurting bad again. Luckily I have the first MRI to take also.

My dr said it could be scar tissue that is causing pain! I just don't get it!
