Yeppers. Did it twice to the same shoulder in one year...actually I know the surgeon missed part of the injury and gad to go back in. What can I help you with?

LMB.. Sucks still being up, doesn't it?? I've been up past the 45 hour mark and had 1/2 hour nap during that time. I feel so exhausted and yet can't sleep. Hope you can get some rest my fellow insomniac. {{Hugs}}🌻🙏🏻

Yes, and I had repair to my left shoulder from it in 2007, it was very painful until after surgery, pain subsided for a while , had to have physical therapy for weeks . I have limited movement with my arm due to the pain( usually when I place my arm above my head) difficulty with sleeping on back and side and no real strength in that hand. No real relief due to where the tear was and MD says new pain is traumatic arthritis

I tore mine about 10 years ago. The diagnosis then was bursitis not a labrum tear. I've been going to PT on/off since then and have been recommended to have it repaired with sewing it back on the bone. Has anyone had any success with this? I have bad pain on my left trapezoid (surpasponatus) and rhomboid area and I'm not convinced the surgery will help with those areas.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I had a pectoralis major transfer in 1994 to graft across my left shoulder blade to hold it in place. Along with that, that had to repair several tears and attach the labrum back to the bone. The surgery was 8 hours and I was in a sling for 12 weeks before they would even start physical therapy. Well, everything tore again during therapy and I also developed an impingement of the acromium clavicular joint. They did surgery and took care of that and then I developed an impingement in the SC Joint. Well, then I got another impingement in the AC joint again and they had removed the both ends of my collar bone to correct the issue. Well, now since all the degeneration, my left shoulder now has no recognizeable joint and the shoulder hangs down a good 4 inches lower than the right. Which pulls on my neck and also caused my thoracic spine to curve and some discs to herniate in that area. For me it's been like dominoes. For every surgery they did, something else went wrong. I guess it is what it is. Now I have the same problem with the right shoulder and I'm afraid to get it fixed because of past experience. I'm sorry you have to suffer with the issue of the torn labrum. Maybe if you get the tear fixed, you may very get relief. (Not everyone has the horrible luck that I've had, thank God!!). Sending you positive vibes, {{Hugs}} and prayers that you get some relief from your pain. 🌻🙏🏻

My pain did not improve with surgery. Of all the many people that I know only one has had a successful shoulder repair. If I could go back I would not have surgery. Wish I had something better to offer but Alwayz summed it up very well.
