Let the paper take your emotions

Jul 23, 2017 2:17 AM

One of the many ways people deal with emotions is by drawing them out. I have a feeling someone has already done this but here's a fresh one to post drawings of your emotions. I'll hope to post one myself soon.

There is a post that asks what does your pain monster look like and quite a few people have done some pretty scary drawings of them and other people how can't draw (like me) have found some good pictures of their pain monsters

I looked at that post a few times . They are great pictures. I am wondering if it can also be a positive drawing as well. Because happy . Out of pain is also an emotion . šŸ¤—šŸ¤—

Jul 27, 2017 9:21 PM

Aww that's a shame make sure you tell her often and tell her I said her pictures are beautiful!

Viv, I would love it if you would pick up your phone or iPod, I need to talk to you and it doesn't feel right to post this problem on a public website where anyone could read it.

Aug 13, 2017 1:02 PM

I am a am horrible at drawing as well, I don't know where my daughter picked up her talent... But it wasn't me or her father because neither of us can draw a stick figure right lmbo!!

Aug 13, 2017 2:26 PM

Westrengirl and Sjogrenspain77 both your daughters are very talented and beautiful.

I can't draw but I like to colour and I let the colour take me out of myself, it's almost like meditation at times where I completely lose myself in the colours.

MochaBarbee yes you can use words. Words can be just as powerful as pictures. My daughter writes poetry when she's struggling with things and finds it a great way to let her feelings out and some of her poems are very powerful and the emotions hit you as you read the poems.

I traced the fairy and colored in the rest. I can't draw well because I have a visual processing disorder but I can trace and color.

Hi Iā€™m new to this site and I have noticed painting with acrylic, drawing, painting on rocks and Iā€™m just starting to learn about watercolor-anyhow it helps me focus on and Iā€™m not focusing on the negativity and or pain.

Mar 31, 2018 10:24 AM

I like abstract a lot becaise i can let my emotions be free without worrying about if it looks perfect.

Mar 31, 2018 10:28 AM
