One of the many ways people deal with emotions is by drawing them out. I have a feeling someone has already done this but here's a fresh one to post drawings of your emotions. I'll hope to post one myself soon.
There is a post that asks what does your pain monster look like and quite a few people have done some pretty scary drawings of them and other people how can't draw (like me) have found some good pictures of their pain monsters
Westrengirl and Sjogrenspain77 both your daughters are very talented and beautiful.
I can't draw but I like to colour and I let the colour take me out of myself, it's almost like meditation at times where I completely lose myself in the colours.
MochaBarbee yes you can use words. Words can be just as powerful as pictures. My daughter writes poetry when she's struggling with things and finds it a great way to let her feelings out and some of her poems are very powerful and the emotions hit you as you read the poems.
Hi I’m new to this site and I have noticed painting with acrylic, drawing, painting on rocks and I’m just starting to learn about watercolor-anyhow it helps me focus on and I’m not focusing on the negativity and or pain.
