Lidocaine Infusions

Aug 27, 2018 1:07 PM

I have been diagnosed with fibro for going on 6 years or so now. I actually won my disability after fighting for over 5 years, but I've got lots of other things joining this party. Anyway, was wondering if anyone here had any experience with Lidocaine infusion therapy? My new pain doc mentioned it. Also, since seeing him 2 weeks ago, he pushed some magic button and my skin has been on fire ever since. Nothing helps. Hoping this infusion might be an answer?

I have no experience with lidocaine infusions for pain relief however it can be used to calm down certain cardiac arrhythmias. I would beg for a earlier appointment. It is terrible to just suffer and wait in pain for two weeks. Has their been anything that has helped put out the fire on your skin? What have you tried?

The only thing that kinda helps is having cold air blowing up my fibro jammies, but once I have to get up and move around the pain comes right back. My next pain appt is 2 weeks away and we have only mentioned these infusions, not actually discussed them because I wasn't in this kind of pain at that time.
