lidoderm "lidocaine" patches

Sep 15, 2015 10:25 AM

Does anyone use lidocaine patches? I have been for about 3 years now and I put them on my shoulders and back of neck, where my pain is the most intense. They work for me to numb the area. I love them!!

I have used them but stopped using them because they seem to help more with surface pain or muscle issue than deep bone, tendon, joint pain and ligament. I still have a whole box of them.

I've never used them but my dad and sister has them post op joint replacements. They said it helped. 🙏🌼

SherriLyn, like Shammagren said,
I didn't find they got deep enough to the source of the pain. Even when wearing them for several hours, it didn't penetrate deep enough. I will use them when my skin is actually hurting. That helps. Sometimes I use a strip across the back of my neck because I've had so many surgeries there that it helps the area where all the scar tissue is not to be so sore.

I've used them and agree they don't go deep enough or wide enough.
