Hi all,
I apologise for not being on in such a long time, how is everyone feeling? & hello to any newbies! How are you finding this app & the communication with others?

Been really busy with school assignments and exams for my HSC and I've been stressing a bit, but stress is causing my pain to be a hell of a lot worse.. I'm feel like I'm going round in circles. Back pain is the worst thing I think I'll ever suffer with in my entire life, I can't believe I felt none of this before the surgery and only post op.. Chronic pain sucks!!

I've also been trying to get back into the gym, but I'm just sick and tired of pain, I just want to live my life like all my other teenage friends can do.

Welcome back Harris! Chronic pain is awful no matter what the cause. Weezie has a good suggestion about the pool. We were going to get our daughters pool when she moves, but instead I told her to give it to our other daughter raising four kids. Pools are suppose to reduce the stock pain from traditional exercises.

We're getting their treadmill instead. I'm hoping I can use it safely since it has the side rails. It's not safe for me to walk in the neighborhood anymore. My biggest risk is falling anyway, so I'm hoping the treadmill will help. Maybe you can start slowly at the gym and work back up. I'm sure all your back muscles are weak from your surgery and recuperation. Praying you'll get back to it and it will help with the pain! 🙏🌼

Hey Harris I missed you. I am feeling pretty great lately. Cut my pain down to 2 and 3 instead of 8 and 10. I did a total life diet change. I alwsys ate clean but now I am juicing and eating according to the Paleo plan. More specifically the Wahls Protocol the book is great. Sorry you are stressing about school, yes it absolutely increases your pain. I hope you can get some relief soon. Swimming or just exercise in a pool helped me. Pilates is great for back pain strong core less back pain. Also I hang like a bat to decompress my lower back. I know your rods are in different places than mine. Look at some of ferritbandit's posts about her meds and diet she is doing some really good things with herbs and diet.
Glad you are back we all missed you.

eddieray55- thank you haha
weezie12- you too! & yes I've tried heated pools as I find them better the cold ones, the next day I'm. Wry sore from doing laps though so I prefer to just hang around in the water or hot bath to try and relax my muscles.
Flappyslady81- I wish you the best of luck with the treadmill and your exercise, I will definitely take your advice and start slowly back at it first, thank you!
LMB- I missed you too! I am so glad to hear your pain levels are decreasing! Yes I hate stressing 👎, will do! x
Yes I missed you all too,

Welcome back Harris. My situation has been status quo. I've had some additional diagnosis and also currently have a broken right hand (broken in 2 places from hitting a wall in anger). Dumb thing to do but it happens. Glad you're back with us!! 😊
