looking for info on cbd

Nov 22, 2015 1:55 AM

Hi everyone can just call me AJ. I am very new to all this. I feel like I am running out of options and medications to try. While scrolling through Facebook the other day I came across an article about cbd and it listed several of helping to cope with several of my medical problems so I clicked on the article and read it in its entirety. Now my question to anyone reading this that has in the past or is currently taking this does it help. I suffer everyday from severe migraines, fibromyalgia, wide spread muscle spasms, multiple bulging and herniated disk in my back, tmj, inflammatory arthritis and anxiety think I got must but u get the point anyway I know everyone is different and what works for one might not for another so anyone with any info on cbd I would love to hear ur feedback good or bad. Thank you

AJ, first I would like to welcome you to our community. Like you, I suffer with daily, chronic pain, migraines, fibro and a laundry list of other diagnosis that cause crippling pain. We are a close bunch and are here to support one another and offer whatever information that we can. (I want to warn you that this young man who responded to you has been trolling here and has both offered drugs, degraded our people and made sexually inappropriate comments. I can't tell you who to speak to but he has been reported to the administrator and hopefully will be blocked from the site). Now, as far as your questions about cbd oils, I have read much about them and have heard both good and bad about them. There have been folks here that have used them where they are legal and they have gotten some relief (more for sleep and anxiety). I have not tried them myself because I have contracts with my doctors and pharmacists that I will not get any medicine from anywhere but my pain management doctor. I hope that you find the information you are looking for and if you do try it, I hope that you get some relief. Again, welcome to our group, AJ and I hope that you find the support and information you seek.🌻🙏🏻

AJ, cbd's effect on pain isn't overwhelming, definitely weaker than opioids. The studies are clear about that. Try to get to the root. In migraines and inflammatory disorders foods sometimes play a role. Take a look at this success story:

It makes sense, fasting often works well for headaches and inflammatory diseases.

Welcome to our community family ajremphrey! Many on here have had good results, and some didn't. It's illegal where I live, but I wouldn't use it due to my medication sensitivities and allergies. I'm sure you'll get answers from others who have used it.

@Dr. Fouradoulas, the link you posted isn't working. 🙏🌼

AJ, I have used CBD oil and yes it helps, it's not major pain relief for me. Mostly it takes the edge off. It does help with my anxiety. If you are going to try research, research and research some more. Currently the FDA does not monitor or control the companies that are selling it. You need to be careful that you are buying from a reputable source so you get oil that is free of dangerous addititives, insecticides or impurities. If you try it I hope it works for you but please see a doc and find out what is causing ur pain. There may be a medication that would work much better.
