Imatute, Ive had fibro since 2007. But I've had glasses since 1978. I was dx with sjogrens in 2015. From 2005 forward I needed new glasses prescriptions on a yearly basis. I went into bifocals in 2006, and in 2008 I went to trifocals. Last year when i began having more blurred vision the doctor was shocked to are my vision had changed in 8 months time instead of 12. Even with the new rx I'm still having blurry issues. But I'm not sure I can say it's the fibro. If anything I'd say it's my sjogrens.
Oh, sad. I am having issues too. Keep cleaning my clean glasses and taking them off and on to see which is better... The glasses every time but yes, this is scary. Is it permanent? From the pain that's not responding to meds? Is it the heat, fibro, the ms? Crap.
Are you taking gabapentin or lyrica? Both caused my vision to be very blurred. Also if you take plaquinol it can cause vision problems that can be permanent. I have not heard of fibro causing vision issues. That being said doctors still do not know much about fibro and even worse many doctors do not even want to believe that fibromyalgia is even real. If you have not already please ask your Pharmacist to see if you are having side effects to any medication. Please keep us posted on the outcome.
My vision has changed tremendously in the past 3 years. I have fibro. It can hurt like major pressure in the eye balls. Light sensitive, change in focus and blurriness. It happens for long periods. While o Lupron and lyrica it got really bad. I have seen eye specialist, says nothing physical is wrong with my eyes. Another doctor said it could have to do with the nerves, nerve endings due to fibro. Beets 🤓
Beets, that does make sense about the nerves. Thanks for sharing that!
Autoimmunes, I forget stuff all the time. It's gotten so bad my hubby finished sentences for me! Lol
Wishing everyone a good, cool place to stay this weekend! The GA humidity is awful and the temps are going to make it dangerous to be outside. I saw it's going to hot in lots of state. Think snow,🍦 or eat snow cones to start cool! 🙂💕🙏🌼

I don't know if Fibromyalgia causes problems with eyes but some of the medication does. For instance - they can cause your eyes to get dry .. I use artificial tears.
Recently my eye sight was getting real blurry. They did a retina scan and found I had a hole in the retina. Had laser surgery that day. I still get what feels like a film over my eyes. Blinking a few times can ease that though. They also found scarring on both eyes so I have to go back if vision gets blurry again or of I start seeing floaters etc.
