Lower Right Side Back Pain

Aug 10, 2015 6:33 AM

I have been having lower back pain now on the right side for about ten days. What to both my primary and my GYN. The pain seems to be getting worse. Had a pelvic ultrasound and I'm waiting for the results. The doctor thinks it could be a ovarian cyst. Do these cause these much pain? And would the pain be increasing? Are there other causes for pain that low on the right side of your back.

Firemustang21, yes cysts can cause more pain, either as they fill with fluid and grow larger, or as they rupture. My daughter passed out at school from one. And I have a cyst that grew over 2 years, before it was diagnosed, at 10 cm. It caused me to need major surgery (5 in 1) to correct all the damage it caused to multiple organs... All because my doctors were brushing my symptoms off as "just your IBS." I'm still having multiple related problems, two that are pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) & pelvic congestion syndrome (PCS).

Hopefully your doctors will find out and get treatment started. Although they usually don't do much for small cysts. My daughter gets them all the time and has never had surgery. Have you tried using a hearing pads or ice? My daughter puts her hearing pads on low.

Have they considered your kidneys? Are you having any itinerary issues? If they don't find a cyst, and you are, they need to look at that. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. 🙏🌼

I tried using the heating pad and that helps. Seems to all be related to my period. I started the pill 2 months ago and things have gotten worse instead of better. That's why I the doctors think cysts or endometriosis. Even getting migraines now with it. Thanks for the reply. I hope you and your daughter both feel better.

Thank you, we will be. You may need a different type of BC pill. I couldn't use atop of them, and neither of my daughters use the same brand or what I used. Glad the heating pad helps. Since you're sure it's your cycle, try a little BlackBerry wine. It supposedly helps thin the blood to follow easier without as much cramping. It only takes about 2-3 ounces each night, like medicine. It's an old remedy here in South GA. I used it and it helped, especially with the heart. 🙏🌼

Flappsy, that is an old remedy and not just in the south. When I would be bedridden with cramps and vomiting and back pain, my Mother would give me blackberry brandy and it would help. It's really just the alcohol that does it so any sweet drink will be ok depending on your taste.

I have found that using the medicated patches from Salonpas really help. Hope I get my test results tomorrow. Does pelvic ultrasound show endometriosis?

AlwayZ, that's great to know. My dad was introduced to peanut butter on pancakes by my uncle who had been stationed in the NE. My family has been eating our pancakes that way since.. 50+ years! 🙏🌼

They found a cyst of the left. Side it could be causing me pain but all of pain is on the right. I'm just afraid there missing something because it really hurts.

I do have rheumatoid arthritis could and two herniated discs. I Guess the pain could be coming from that. Just seems different.
