Hi. I have a hard, very painful to the touch lump on my armpit. Im just trying to figure out what it is. My girlfriend says it's normal but I've never had this in my life and it seems to be getting bigger. What do I do? Any ideas what it may be?

Try using a hot compress to see if it goes down, if it's too painful you should see a Dr.

It could be a wide range of things from not at all serious to something that is serious. The most likely thing in your case (seeing how it's painful) is a swollen lymph node which would indicate you have an infection. If it doesn't go away in a few days, you should go to a doctor.

Don’t ignore it for sure. It could be something minor but it could be something as serious as breast cancer. Breast cancer can start in the armpit area and can affect both men and women.

Check in with your doctor for a checkup and ultrasound.
