Lyrica 75 MG dosage night 2

Dec 06, 2015 1:33 AM

Whats your experiance with increasing Lyrica? I've been on the Lyrica for a few weeks now and Dr wanted me to got to 75mg so I did last night. I finally slept to some extent after not sleeping for the last 4 nights. Waking up today was incredibly difficult. Zombie like all day. Stiff as a board for most the day to and lathargic feeling. Not looking forward to tomorrow as its my work Christmas party. I've been on medical since early October though so lots of anxiety. Does anyone even want me there? So hard to brain right now. It's taken a couple hours to write this post. Nervous about how I will feel tomorrow. Do I feel so awful because I'm increasing my Lyrica or because I've recently decreased my Quetiapine or is it combination? I wish there was a device could be plugged in to say all the thing wrong like there are for vehicles

Oh wouldn't a machine like that be brilliant?!?! No more guesswork or juggling meds to try and find the right combo only to have to re juggle once it stops working as well. No more horrible looks when you use the handicap carts at the store, you can just hold up your diagnostic and say, see, it's official!

I'm on lyrica too. I was in awful shape when I started and while on my increased period. For a while I would dered if it was worth it and yes the pain was still there. I'm on 150 mg now and I can't say the pain is any better but I've been under a lot of stress this week too. I know its hard but I would suggest letti g the lyrica work for a few more days. Because even though the pain is not better and the morning stiffness is still bad. At least u sleep . I was pleased with the sleep combo meds I was on too. I sorry you have to deal with this. But for all our sakes I hope these meds work or they find a combo that works so we can get some relief.

I've been on Lyrica since March. You have to leave it for at least 3 weeks to see any effects. I started on a low dose like yourself but the plan was to get me to 500mg a day as I too suffer with stiffness and dull aches like I constantly have a bad virus affecting all my muscles. At first it seemed to help and around June my dose was increased from 200g a day to 300g. Unfortunately that's where my problems began as my legs, ankles and feet swelled up. I thought it was the Fibromyalgia at first until a hospital clinic appointment. There the professional told me that I - as well as many others - may never be able to get to the high doses that were suggested. I was instructed to always increase/decrease by 25g, so now I take 175mg a day and the swelling went down. It's different for everyone. I originally tried amitriptyline last year and I felt like I was tranquillised so the doctors quickly took me off that. It'll be worth looking into other methods for any anxiety or muscle aches you feel too e.g.meditation or vitamin deficiency, just to tackle as much as you can without drugs because as we all know it's a difficult balance. Hope that helps :)

Thanks everyone! :) my Dr told me that people are never put on higher than 75m, but that doesn't seen to be the case. I've been awake for about a half hour now but still haven't managed to get out of bed. One step at a time, I slept at least :)
