Major Flair up

Sep 04, 2015 6:45 AM

Ok so I woke up yesterday in an excited mood, it was my son's Jr High School First Football game of the season! A couple hour's after the kids left for school my body went into Major flair mode! Everything was flairing up to a migraine, my back and sciatica and arthritis pain in my hands and knee's and and ankles! So I laied down with my gel mask in my dark cold bedroom for awhile and it helped lessen the pain of that before I had to get up and run some errands that had to be run. By time errands were done it was time for a quick dinner before kick off, so I took my meds that didn't help much but it was worth being there for my son. The kids are going to the SR High game tonight with the church so I can recuperate today because my body is still in flair mode. Have a pain free day as much as possible everyone and enjoy your day! That happens to me. I get excited about something and I get pain. It seems tge same if I'm disappointed or angry too. I'm glad you got to Go.

Moparmom, I'm sorry you are in a flare but glad you got to go and see your son play football. I go onto flares with extreme emotional changes myself. Sometimes I have a good day, enjoy it as best I can and then need 2 days to recuperate!! It's rough but we all learn how to work around or with our pain.🙏🏻🌻

Body is still in partial flair mode now, the only thing flairing is my back and arthritis pain in my ankles. Hopefully one more day of recouping will do because I need to get my floor's vacuumed lol. Rest of the housework can wait another couple days. Have a pain free day if possible Moparmom

I'm in a major flare up at the minute. I just don't know what to do with myself. I'm in pain from my head to my toes, I can't move without pain, my head hurts too much to even let it touch the pilloW. I'm on morphine both slow release and MST, gabaphentin and migraleve. Nothing is touching it.
I'm not trying to hijack your post I just want to let you know you are not alone and there are people who totally understand. I hope you feel better soon. X

Rebeve, don't think your hijacking I'm the type of person who has friends who call at 3 am just to vent if needed or cry if they want. Have you tried an ice pack and a dark room cold room? I pray that your flairing comes to an end soon, it's no fun and I know it's not easy on our family to see any of chronic painers in these type's of flair ups. Here's praying to an end to the flair soon! Take care and let us know how it's going.

Moparmom, I'm glad you were able to go to your son's game. I'm sure it meant a lot to him. When my daughter was in band I really tried to go to the games just for her. By the time she reached HS it was nearly impossible to go sit on those hard, color, concrete seats, even with a cushion and blankets. I was only able to go to the early season games, and even then not all of them. By the time she graduated in '06 I wasn't going at all. Omg... It just hit me that my pain & temp sensitivities started way back around 2002! I'm glad you'll be able to rest up today. Just place your housework so it doesn't set you back again.

Rebeve, I'm sorry you're in a flair too. Just rest in a dark, cool room with soothing music so your body will hopefully relax. Take a muscle relaxer if needed it. I hope you'll feel better soon to.

Btw... Is your weather a factor? It's upper 80's, high humidity, but breezy here so it's not affecting me. Without the breeze it would. Hugs & prayers for both of you! 🙏🌼

Thank You Flappy's, I try to do my best for my kid's despite the flair up's like the Thursday. Yeah it sucked but that's a part of my life. You the good with bad and do the best you can. Hope you are a pain free day as much as possible. God Bless

Thanks Moparmom. I'm easily tiring today with just a tad more achiness, but no kids out grandkids today so I'm chilling with the hubby and dog. Good bless your day, and everyone else too. 🙏🌼

Thank you moparmom and Flappys for your kind words, I hope You are having better days. I'm still in flare up and not expecting to get much better over the weekend as its my mother in laws 80th birthday. Big celebrations for the next week. Sounds great but very tiring. I'm restricted to what relaxants I can take as I have unstable angina and on heart meds. I think I will just wear a big tent dress and have lots of surgical supports underneath lol. I try to keep smiling for everyone....I bet you do too...xx

Oh I do and did for my son my last night, sat though 2 football games for him because he plays with the 7th graders(JR Varsity)and then again with his team the 8th and 9th graders.( Junior High). They did awesome! First Game 22-8 my son team won and second game was a shut out! 52- 0! My son's team won again! They are on fire this year! I just have to find a spot far away from the guy with the LOUD COWBELL! I had a migraine when I got home and so did my daughter lol! But like I said before you take your good day's with your bad days and do your best and pray for better day's.
