CatchMyPain Community and Pain Diary App to manage chronic illness

Managing

I am not only keeping pain notes ( not as consistently as I was, I think i could become obsessed with the particulars of the pain itself) but I am keeping updates, changes and symptoms. Also in the notes section I am keeping track of all forms of relief I may be using, trying or omitting and also kind of an activity journal that I can look back to and see what I was ABLE to do. This kind of provides me some positives at times when there doesn't feel to be any. The community forum is one positive that I feel is even more important than the pain diagram tracker (with the exception of sharing that feature with ones doctor) I am wondering how many of you have shared the diary with your doctors and what kind of reception you received from the doctor?

The doctor can't really help you that's all they want to give you is pain pills the medication really not helping

My doctor told me to try alternative methods and to not take any medication. You should try changing your diet and using heating pads or those pain relief patches that they sell at Walmart, they work wonders for me

Thank you for your replies... At this point I am on Tizanidine for spasms, tramadol and hydrocodone 5-324, Amitryptaline and propanol for barometric migrains since a skull fracture 7 years ago... I use ice and heat, a tens unit, patches, a pokey ball, a lomi massaging chair, hot soaks, stretching... I'm just frustrated

Have some of you actually used the email function of this App to send to your doctors?
