Marching into a flare

Apr 24, 2015 2:58 PM

On top of a physically demanding week of work, I'm shooting (photography) an event tomorrow all day long. Then, because I need to knock on all the opportunity doors, I'm hopping on a bus full of teenagers for 14 hours of drive time in a 36 hour period. Then two more crazy work days before REST. I'm marching myself right into a bad flare. I feel it coming. But I have to push through this.
Prayers appreciated.

Thank you. I took a hot Epsom bath followed by a cold rinse (otherwise I go numb and feel like I will faint). Hopefully it helps me get through tomorrow.

Yikes. Sounds touch. Try to eat healthy and drink lots of fluids and sit whenever you can. Wishing you the best to get thru.

Meant tough instead of touch.

Aliya, your in my prayers. Rest as much as you can. And like Sandibeach said, eat well and stay hydrated. 🙏🌼

Today wasn't nearly as physically or mentally demanding as I expected. My photography partner had me just stand behind the camera and she did almost all the people arrangements and loud talking and thinking. She said she didn't want me to end up falling due to too much use. It was very kind of her. She ended up with a bad headache. I just ended up tired with sore feet.

We'll see how 8 hours on a bus full of teens goes tomorrow.

Have any earplugs? Or music ear buds? Good luck and I'm glad you had help today! Safe travel & low pain are my prayers!🙏🌼

Aliya I hope you have a great trip, even if it's a bus full of teenagers. Hopefully they will sleep some of the way. You may be pleasantly surprised by how they act. Have a safe trip, will keep you in my prayers.

They're a great group. It's my first chaperone trip, however. It will be good.

Best idea ever? Portable tens unit hooked up to my back on the bus.

Flappyslady you should try using one on your long drives coming up.

Aliya, that travelling really takes it's toll. I hope that when you go, you are so focused on fun and laughter that your pain level isn't really in the forefront of your day. I hope you totally enjoy being with the kids and that you enjoy yourself with the absolute minimum of discomfort.

After an extra night added to our trip due to bus troubles, we are finally home. It was much less stressful than expected and my pain is quite ignoreable. I'm really glad I have an alignment scheduled for tomorrow. The tens unit on my back helped SO MUCH. I think it's what made sleep On the bus possible for me.

How awesome that you were able to have a great time, the TENS unit helped your pain. I'm also very very happy for you that it wasn't as stressful as you thought and that your pain was ignorable and you got to sleep on the bus... It's always awesome to hear that one of you has had a better or even good day.

Aliya that's really great you were able to enjoy it. I'll have to remember the tens unit for my next trip. 🙏🌼
