Marijuana and Fibro

Oct 08, 2014 12:58 PM

anyone have luck with marijuana? I do not take any kind of opiate pain meds. I am using med marijuana. I find the best relief is to drink it in a tea. I can not use it when I work or have to be "on". anyone else have any luck with this?

Oct 08, 2014 3:10 PM

I am contemplating it very seriously, I have friends in the support groups I am in that say it is wonderful, they rake it for pain, migraines, sleep.

Oct 08, 2014 4:50 PM

it's been a lifesaver.

Oct 08, 2014 6:20 PM

total lifesaver

Oct 10, 2014 8:52 AM

wish i had some fibro also can u take it with meds tho?

Oct 10, 2014 6:03 PM

I occasionally use it for sleep, but unsure if it helps pain since I am couch locked and unaware. would love to find a way to use without the high and still be able to function

all medication works on tricking the brain into believing its not happening... so "the high" is the other signal "the trick" is working... maybe try a different method of intake?

Oct 12, 2014 3:33 PM

I highly recommend marjuana tea! best body relax w/ out a strong mind high. downfall... It takes a lot of leaves/ amount of marijuana

I wish that the setup would be completed for medical marijuana here in NY. They say it's going to be about two years. I go to pain management and do take opiate medications. my pain levels have increased to the point that I carry a level of 8 ON medication (100mg morphine). I'm hoping when it's set up that I can get it, that it helps. I know many people who smoke for pain relief but I can't because then the pain management doctor wouldn't be able to treat me any longer. so many say it's a miracle and brings their pain levels WAY down... I'm praying that is how it turns out for me.

Nov 13, 2014 10:00 PM

yes you can take medical Marij. on your meds. it is non toxic

Nov 14, 2014 8:08 AM

Artificial (synthetic) cannabis is now available which inhibits a pain-sensing pathway in the spinal cord known as the cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB2).
Although cannabis can effectively relieve pain and without some of the physiological affects of smoking or ingesting the real stuff.

The compound, called JWH133, or a trade name of Tocopherol. I believe some of the street names for the illegal trade are K2 and Spice. It is completely synthetic but is designed to selectively target CB2 in a similar way to the the real stuff.

Apparently the levels of the CB2 receptor in the spinal cord have been shown to be closely linked to the severity of pain among osteoarthritis sufferers and chronic back pain suffers, and this drug has been known to block the receptor from sending pain signals.

I will soon be on it and will update everyone on the affects of that drug.

Nov 15, 2014 12:44 AM

Can anyone help by explaining how you take marijuana to decrease pain I would like to consider it but it's not yet legalized here

Nov 15, 2014 8:58 AM

Benate- fortunately it is legal for medical use where I live. I know lots of people that use it recreationally illegally tho. Of course this is a risk.
I use a vaporizer, smoke, make tea, and use tincture, NOT ALL AT ONCE! ;)
it has been helpful, and I only really use it once I am home for the night or if I Am having a bad flare.

Nov 15, 2014 2:26 PM

thank you jesswoo76 I can't wait for it to be legal for medical use even here in South Africa

Nov 15, 2014 4:39 PM

They are considering a trial here for medical marijuana and I am hopeful that I may be able to participate to try to manage the pain better, I am concerned as I do not want any high or brain fog, have enough of that with regular meds.

Nov 16, 2014 3:47 AM

I am hopeful your comments just made me bite the bullet and register for the next trial, hope I am successful.
Thanks for your inspiration!

In all honesty, when my pain is at my worst it is the only thing that works. I have a very good friend that has helped me find a strain that works for me. and given me a small share from time to time, and It is the most wonderful, freeing thing. I am completely, utterly without any pain, ANYWHERE, for hours. I can even get up and do chores without worry. Unless you have someone who knows their stuff, it does take some research, but I honestly wish it was more accessible. Here in my town it is completely banned, but I cannot get a doctor to believe me and get me a "legal" prescription of pain killers that would actully do LESS for me, and it frustrates me to no end.

Nov 17, 2014 7:00 AM

I would love to know the strain JB.

Nov 22, 2014 12:37 PM

As a former pot smoker in my youth, I can def see how it would help with pain. I've considered using it again but think I would try to ingest it and not smoke it. The high can be too intense smoking it IMO. Not legal in Louisiana either and if docs refuse to prescribe it for my mom who had terminal cancer (now deceased) I know that won't prescribe to me. Such as risk to buy it from streets.

Nov 22, 2014 6:15 PM

MJ has been a lifesaver for me as well.

Jan 06, 2015 2:28 PM

Edibles have a longer lasting effect, can be as effective as morphine and will promote sleep. The down side is it can take 1-2 hours to kick in so you have to stay on top of your pain. Also, sativas may have neg affect on anxiety sufferers, stick to indicas or hybrids.

Jan 06, 2015 5:16 PM

Oh how I wish Texas would open up it's closed mind. In my own hypothetical study I cut my opiate use by 70%. You tell me what is better for my body. Back to patches and pills I have to pee in a cup in a month. Edibles ie: cannibus butter -is the best but it does take 45 minutes to a hour to work. The taste is beyond disgusting, but my liver is happier. Just hypothetical of course. I hate smoking anything.

Jan 06, 2015 11:46 PM

I take marijuana when I have went to many days without sleep. So far it is the only thing that has actually helped me sleep. I use the candy bar and just use a little tiny bit. I also have a warm rub and a cool rub with marijuana that helps muscle aches. It can truly make a difference. Ingesting it rather than smoking it doesn't give you a high. You also have to be careful because you may think it is not working because it takes awhile as it is processed by the liver so therefor easy to overdose. As with anything what works for one doesn't necessarily mean it will work for another.

Jan 07, 2015 12:09 AM

You cannot overdose on mj. You can get very high and not like the feeling but you cannot die from it period. Go to the national database website www.norml.org you will find great information on how it works and the differences in the strains. Also what states are in the process of trying to pass legislation to help. Also how to get involved if you choose.

Jan 07, 2015 10:20 PM

I've tried it twice now, the first time it was awful!!! I had so many symptoms I couldn't keep up and I hated the way I felt. My husband told me that I smoked too much of it, but how could I've known if I never tried it before. The second time I ate half a brownie, the feelings were the same but less intense, still couldn't sleep and couldn't really get if it helped my pain at all. I guess I have to keep trying but I'm not that motivated to do so, I'm not a fan of the feeling.

Jan 11, 2015 3:50 PM

30 years, without it I am sure dyalasis would be part of my life. I have been honest with the doctors prior to NJ being legal. So it is part of my medications.

Jan 12, 2015 11:15 AM

Does anyone know if it's possible to get medicinal marijuana in Canada for fibromyalgia? I brought it up with my doctor, and he immediately dismissed me. If anyone has any information please let me know. Thank you.

Jan 12, 2015 9:10 PM

Is medical marijuana legal in Canada?

Jan 22, 2015 11:47 PM

I live in WA where it is now legal for recreational use. (In very small amounts). My massage therapist works with a medicinal supplier and is getting me a cream to try. I am hesitant to try edibles because I am already fuzzy headed from all the meds I have to take. I am hopeful the cream will work for me especially for the bad days.

Jan 23, 2015 2:01 AM

Kcostek the warming cream is good. I also do edibles and don't get high. About an hour after eating a chunk I can feel my body relaxing and it doesn't give me a fuzzier brain. I only use the edibles maybe once a week when I can't handle the lack of sleep anymore.

Jun 29, 2015 3:33 PM

Haven't tried it yet. I am concerned what my family will think about me getting high. Any experience?

Jun 29, 2015 5:53 PM

It is a mind-altering drug. Don't get how it can help with pain. Back when I tried it years ago, all it did was make me hungry and tired. I think it is good for cancer patients ravaged by chemo to make more comfortable and help them eat.

Jun 29, 2015 6:14 PM

Let me tell you it takes away my pain so I can have relief and feel somewhat of a normal person

Jun 30, 2015 12:40 AM

@KathyA--- I am too in NY & let me put your mind more at ease, my neurologist said it will be available by January 2016 if not a month or 2 before. They are already taking applications for growers & setting up factories... I have CRPS type II stage 3-4 in my right arm, this past week it has spread to my leg as well as just coming out of the hospital with being diagnosed with CRPS in the right leg as well as fibromyalgia....
I can't wait for it to be legal.. My dr is a true believer in it (thank god) he told me I will have a choice between opioids or marijuana obviously it's a no brainier which I will choose.. I have used a vapor pen from New Jersey however I think the dose was to low as you can get either a 250mg oil or a 500 & I was only able to get 250.,so some days it didn't work! Last summer prior to my last surgery (figures my luck I go off the meds to have my 4th hand surgery 2 months later) I felt well enough to try & come off pain meds & I used the pen instead for bad days or breakthrough pain. When it did work however sometimes it would take me from a 7 to a 5 & in the pain world that 5/6 is manageable without the constant need for pills (at least for me it was) Now I am always at a 8-10
Sorry for going a bit off track! Anyway, I do know that NY will have a stronger does & believe it's .
it's either pen or pill form I believe you have the option to choose. I can't wait because then I can try CBD oil.. So many people I know use that for fibromyalgia vs pain meds. They do it as they are not on opioids so they don't have to worry about drug tests as CBD is from the opposite plant that has THC however there are mixed reviews on whether or not mild traces of THC can be found in a drug test. Even a minimal amount I will not tempt it,. I don't go to pain management any longer as my neurologist treats my illness & pain. Hope you find this useful. You can also Google or go onto the New York State website you can find information there as well as a site called leafly.com
For anyone else reading this & if you have medical marijuana legal already in your state then you should listen to this: many People I have spoken with actually say that CBD oil is by far the best for fibromyalgia, chronic pain flare ups & tremors or seizures... However it's considered illegal yet not illegal (if that makes sense) you can buy as its not marijuana with THC but it comes from the plant so if the female produces THC then it's the male plant.. It can get costly ( so I heard but well worth it if it makes us function like a person) it's even been shown on CNN & the people who can use the THC form I would think this is not illegal for you.
I also have a very dear friend who was the one to tell me about as he told me because I get severe hand tremors he told me a story about a friend of his whose wife had stage 4 brain cancer with terrible seizures to the point that the dr's said one more seizure & she would die.. Her husband heard about CBD, did research you tubed it etc.. He figured it couldn't hurt to try. Anyway after he started giving it to her everyday (it goes I believe under your tongue) she never had a seizure again & her brain tumor actually shrunk & she is in remission after being on deaths door. The dr's couldn't figure out how this happened ( they think it's an insane miricale) her husband never told the dr's about it as he was unsure if he could get in trouble for doing this.. I believe in my opinion that he should of told them for the mere fact that this is like a miracle oil & that with a combination of regular THC, I am praying that this can save our lives, make us function etc..
I think that the pharmaceutical companies are the biggest drug dealers looking to get paid & don't care about our well-being as pain meds do more harm then good, but until it's legal I have to take because on a "good day" I can with the assistance of meds, I can get out of bed & make it to the dr's before I am exhausted again. These pharmaceutical companies should really take a hard look at creating this stuff all natural with no side effects & possibly actually helping us instead of killing us..
I don't know about anyone else but I have never heard of someone dying from marijuana & it has so many healing agents as well as never worrying about withdrawal symptoms or have to plan your days around your medication.. I mean it's so hard for this to be legal, yet it's never killed anyone, but cigarettes are legal as well as alcohol & those 2 things kill along with opioids.

Jun 30, 2015 10:36 AM

024 thank you so much for all of the information. It does put my mind at ease. I do have to say that I know some in pain management that take medical marijuana and still take pain pills for breakthrough pain. I'm generally at a pain level of 8-8.5 on medication and there is NO drug that lasts the entire 6 hours it's supposed to. I'm having a horrible day today. The weather is hot and humid and my body is screaming. I have the migraine from hell and don't know what parts of me don't hurt any more. It changes so much I can't even tell you. I took down the website and will keep track. If my pain management office doesn't get certified them I'm screwed because I can't stop taking meds that at least take the edge off to go to something that I'm not even sure will help. I'm trying to stay positive but on days like this, it's really hard as you know.

Jun 30, 2015 4:06 PM

Hang in there Alwayz.... Sending you gentle hugs.

Jun 30, 2015 5:11 PM

Thanks JustBCuzz... That means a lot to me

Jun 30, 2015 5:34 PM

I live in East Texas and I don't believe it will ever be legalized. I don't even think they will legalize it for medical needs. It would be so wonderful if they would. It would make it so much better if they would so that law enforcement could concentrate on harder drugs.

Jun 30, 2015 10:46 PM

Alwayz, I hear ya this weather we are having SUCKS!!! It's like you take one foot forward & the weather brings you 2 steps back.. I am still using a cane since the hospital & I am supposed to go to biofeedback tomorrow but with this weather & I get cab rides to & from I can tell you I am honestly terrified to go even if I can get out of bed. The building I am going to isn't like the occupational & physical therapy building that has automatic doors & besides having my bad hand that is just there for looks but completely useless my good hand is on the cane. I am afraid my 1st venture out will be scary alone & even with scheduled pick ups the cab is always at least 15mins to an hour late getting me & I don't think I can stand that long as well if it's wet I am terrified of falling. I think my physical therapy on Thursday might help me over come this fear & my mom is driving me & wants to be involved as to the leg recovery.. I will feel safer with those people as this is what they do ( besides my mom drives more cautiously with me then the cabs. Just hope afterwards I will adapt & try a little more to over come this anxiety, hoping my therapist will do my session on the phone instead.
Also yes of course people like us will have to use pain pills with the medical marijuana as well as I will try CBD however I am hoping that I can wean a little off the pain meds & rely more on the medical marijauna & CBD & use the opioids for breakthrough with wishful thinking that then maybe it will work more as yes I agree 100% it doesn't last my dr has me every 4 hrs & when it works I am lucky if it lasts 2 hrs. When medical worked last year for me it lasted longer then any pill

Jun 30, 2015 11:02 PM

I use it. We are looking into the whole CBT thing because the point here is to be able to function and on the regular stuff I am gonzo.

Jul 01, 2015 6:13 AM

I think GA approved the use of oil last month, for specific issues (mainly for children, fibro not included). But we have no state suppliers yet, and its illegal to cross state lines with it. ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒผ

Jul 01, 2015 10:15 AM

I just hope and pray that someone, somewhere comes up with something that brings some much needed relief. Today is a horrendous day for me and the anxiety is making my chest hurt and has put my guts on the fritz. Oh well, I'll just have to pray that tomorrow will be a better day. I've got an encroaching migraine and I don't think I'm gonna be able to stop this one. You're all in my prayers. I hope you have a peaceful a less painful day. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐ŸŒบ

Jul 01, 2015 3:36 PM

I'm having a rough one too Alwayz. Don't feel like I can endure more but that's all I do--endure.

Jul 01, 2015 3:38 PM

Praying for you AlwayZ & Marsemouse! ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒผ

Jul 01, 2015 3:43 PM

You too Flappys๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’•

Jul 01, 2015 3:52 PM

And Alwayz๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’• Medical marijuana helps me significantly but I don't go out after I use it. But I don't go out anyway. For me smoking is most effective but it's trial and error like everything, has a stigma like many things, I worry about my lungs and it does take a lot to sustain the relief. Even here where it is "legal" there are still Federal raids and a lot of naysayers. In fact now I'm worried I'll never find an apartment--I wouldnt have tried it but my cog behav. therapist recommended it to me. It's going to be a long road with legality and acceptance. Unfortunately we suffer endlessly for this.

Jul 01, 2015 4:04 PM

I'm happy because LEAP (law enforcement against prohibition) had a part about marijuana being legal as of today. I haven't tried it, but if I get really bad again I'll probably consider it.

Jul 01, 2015 4:25 PM

It's a lot gentler than you might expect, they really are getting it down to a science. It's a lot safer than opiates and benzos and I have to use them all right now :( Hard to reckon how we still punish people with staggering pain in this nation.

Jul 06, 2015 9:09 PM

Hi I tried it but it isn't legal in Florida
I feel much better when do smoke marrijuana then when taking all other pain meds.

Jul 14, 2015 1:39 PM

It works for me but I don't know how to get it

Jul 15, 2015 12:15 PM

Does anyone know if it's legal in Illinois? And if so, which doctor will prescribe it? Pain management Dr or PCP Dr. I've tried it for pain, anxiety disorder and Fibro when I was at wits end because I couldn't sleep. Insomnia is the worse when you don't have the luxury of sleeping all day. I'm on disability now.

Jul 15, 2015 12:38 PM

You can get it from a pain management doctor, a pcp, a chiropractor (They just have to have gotten certified to prescribe it). I hope that it is legal for you and you get the relief you need. It's not fully up and functional here yet so I can't even try it. I have to wait and hope my pain doctor's office gets certified as I signed a contract that I'd not get ANY meds from another doctor and will NOT risk the little relief I get from what I have now for any reason. Guess I'll just have to cross my fingers... Good luck!!

Jul 15, 2015 2:32 PM

I recently started using cbd tincture for my pain, depression, and anxiety. It is very expensive, but within one week I'm off my anti-anxiety meds. I still experimenting with it as my goal is to use it instead of narcotics and anti-depressants. No side effects, no "high" just a calm feeling.

Jul 15, 2015 8:43 PM

I wish it were legal to try here in Indiana. I have a friend who uses it in Colorado for RA and says it makes a huge difference!

Jul 15, 2015 10:57 PM

Thank you iammertle, I will follow up . Don't want to use the illegal route.
Alwayzinpain, I hear you. I also signed one of those contacts but since I'm now on disability he does not accept my state provided insurance, so I guess I can look for a new doctor
Sweetie65, where do you get the cbd tincture from. Do you need a card for it???

Jul 27, 2015 5:31 AM

I feel like a hypocrite after scolding my 20 yr old for using marijuana for recreational use, but I would be willing to try it if it became legal in Ohio. Can't be any worse than the opiate pain meds that I rely on in order to be able to function!

Aug 03, 2015 9:51 AM

Dalyaya, sorry I did not see your question until today. Yes you do need a card to go in the dispensary here in CA. I live in an area where there are many Dispensaries and there are many forms of cbd. Cheeba chews makes a non-psychoactive edible that I use. It's my favorite so far, but that's just me, everyone has different results. The non-alcohol based tinctures work well also. I think what I enjoy the most is trying the different cbd methods of intake. My doctor doesn't lay out 5-6 different opioids and say "here try them all" he gives me what HE thinks works. Even though I hate opiates and their side effects. So the cbd might not completely take the place of opioids, but it sure has decreased my opioid use, I don't use anti-anxiety meds anymore (had been on them for over 20 years), and I sleep better.

Aug 11, 2015 10:56 AM

I have been wanting to give marijuana a try, but unsure of what kind to get and how should I take it.

Aug 13, 2015 11:21 PM

But legal in my state, I did drink the tea and it WORKED! I really wish the laws would change.

Aug 14, 2015 5:57 PM

Did the tea taste bad?

Aug 24, 2015 4:22 PM

I don't want to smoke marijuana. What could I cook it in?

Aug 24, 2015 7:21 PM

The tea was actually good with honey

Aug 24, 2015 7:22 PM

Can be added to any recipe but usually pastries

Aug 24, 2015 8:52 PM

To those of you in Canada, yes medical marijuana is legal, you have to find a doctor that supports it, this is key. I have been using recreationally for 25 + years and it helps with all kinds of pain and aids sleep. If you don't want to smoke it, making tea is a great alternative. I have no professional diagnosis on my chronic pain but I started using this app to track it's intensity and areas. I do however have an auto immune disorder that I was diagnosed 5 yrs ago and I'm thinking it my pain might be related.

Sep 01, 2015 2:40 PM

I use it and it helps me walk

Sep 03, 2015 12:50 PM

The best thing is to use the tincture. Only thing I found that actually helps me sleep with no side effects. Its not about being high. Regular pharmaceuticals will give you worse feelings than consumed mj. I stopped all meds. Its been shown that chronic use of meds can actually increase a persons pain. Still feel the pain and other symptoms, but no longer fighting with side effects which made my conditions worse.

Sep 03, 2015 2:15 PM

I use the edible chocolate bar marijuana when things get bad, I don't want to use it all the time I have a 9 year old. Anyway it helps relax and sleep. You have to be careful with edibles try a little wait an hour try a little more until you know the amount to take and every product is different.

Sep 03, 2015 11:11 PM

It has changed my life! If used properly it can make a gigantic difference, it's learning what works for you.
For instance:
I use a CBD during the day (100% CBD so there is no high)

for sleep I use a high potency the indica with CBD in it.

For high pain days I'll use a high potency high CBD sativa

Sep 04, 2015 9:40 AM

I recently tried it. In candy form. Must say some of tge feelings I didn't quite like but it was not much different then a narcotic feeling. My like a mom let me try some and she was really again st it. But it's saved her and after I went on lyrica and it nearly killed me I found cannibus was my life savor. Everyone I personally know with fibromyagia or m.s has said pot was the only thing that works

Sep 04, 2015 9:42 AM

I tried it as a vapor in an e cigg form. I'm a non smoker always have been. It would be easier and cheaper if legal . Medically in az it is. But the $ is not in my budget.

Sep 04, 2015 7:49 PM

They just recently legalized medical Marijuana in NY .. its a very small list of conditions it can be prescribed for but Rheumatoid Athritis was on the list so I started looking into it for when they actually start dispensing it and even decided to get some and try it to see if it helped and if it would be something to pursue with my doctor and it did help quite a bit but the side effects for me out weighed the benefits.

It made me paranoid, it relaxed me but I couldn't sleep cuz my head was spinning.. n thinking and i ate everything in sight ...when i finally did fall asleep I felt groggy in the morning for a couple hours. Now this all from a hit or two... yes I know I'm a major light weight lol

I did this for about 2 weeks after work to see if I'd learn how to be functional on it but never felt like I would be able to drive or work in that condition. .. Although it would be a blast to go to work and laugh hysterically at my supervisors lol

I was talking to a friend during that time who said they can take out the stuff in the pot that does that to you. If that would be the case Id probably try it again because Id love to be able cut back more on the narcotic meds.

Sep 04, 2015 9:49 PM

They haven't legalized it in Wyoming yet. But I will be first in line when they do.

Sep 05, 2015 4:20 PM

I haven't tried marijuana, although I've considered it. I know a lot of people who have tried it.

Sep 06, 2015 12:38 AM

Go online do some research and make your own cannabis infused butter. Take one ounce hydro grind it in a coffee grinder and place 1 pound in a mini crock pot. There are some specific temperatures that you need to achieve to get the extraction correct. I have heard most do the simmering part twice. It smells horrible so garage project. Place in cheese cloth and press/strain. You want to take out as much of the ground weed as possible. A potato ricer works well for that part. A good way to store is in silicone ice cube tray molds in the freezer. Literally all that is needed is a piece the size of a large pea or small lima bean and just swallow it. The taste is horrid and so is the smell. It seems to work best if you eat something with it that also gas fat in it. The only downside is it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to kick in. Edibles always take longer than just smoking or vaping. I know personally where it has cut pharmaceutical use by 60%. That says alot. There is no down side except it is not legal in every state yet.

Sep 06, 2015 3:27 AM

Pot saved me. Only thing that helped me sleep, lowered anxiety, relaxed muscles from spasams, was able to eat, and cut back on all medications, we have no clue what all the medications and synthetic crap is going to do to us in the long run. They dont test what happens after taking pharmaceuticals for 5 year, 10 year or even more.
i have had a dozen jaw surgerys with no relief
And all from a drunk driver. I had the most unbearable pain i have ever felt. All after getting a shot at my primary doctors becouse i had the flu and with my jaw i can't throw up. (Nurse tried to say i was over reacting. I wanted to do the same to her and see iWhere they punctured my sciatic nerve. (Wish that nurse could feal the pain i go through becouse she messed up). Im hardly able to walk around my house. But i was given lyrica and it made me angry. The amount of anger, rage, and it was like the sensor that keeps us from saying what ever comes to mind. Shocked me. I saw depression on the side effects but not a chance of turning into a violent psycho (excuse my language ) bi

Sep 06, 2015 9:45 AM

I think we should start having a chronic pain convention where we all sit around.. get blazed and talk!!! How fun would that be? Lol ((Hugs)))

Sep 11, 2015 9:56 AM

It's legal here and I have a card-- it helps a lot but now I think maybe it gave me those PVC's. doctors (I have found! are still extremely judgemental so I'm
afraid to talk about it- I scared myself good yesterday, googling lung air pockets and marijuana use and lung damage. I hope I'm wrong---because of the colitis smoking works best for me, at least it has until now.

Sep 11, 2015 10:16 AM

I'm trying to be a lot more careful. I feel kind of stupid because I'm so tired and weak I probably smoked too much or too hard or didn't clean the pipe well enough---this isn't my house so I am discreet and have to hide it. I've been using it for about a year, makes me sad to think of giving it up or that I might have done something stupid--not the marijuana, just the haphazard way I do everything in this condition. I felt so guilty yesterday at the cardiologists office but she would have shamed me into next Tuesday had I told her and I sure don't need that. It definitely helped me cut back on other meds, I'm hoping my heart and guts will calm down. It is the *only* time I am able to eat or have an appetite. It's the only time I'm able to really relax and enjoy life at all, right now so I'm not going to stop completely anyway.

Sep 11, 2015 7:28 PM

Marsemouse, you don't need to research anything that's going to scare you! Bless your heart. (((Hugs))) ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒผ

Sep 12, 2015 1:04 PM

Thanks Flappys, bless your heart. I had myself at the ER yesterday in my mind several times but there are too many possible problems and I couldn't settle on any single one ;) I tend to catastrophize on weekends, very inconvenient. I'm trying not to convince myself into a collapsed lung. I took a small bit of Klonopin and am okay for right now--the heart is still twitching :( and I want the message part of the app like everyone else!! Hope you're feeling okay today Flappyz๐Ÿ’–

Sep 15, 2015 3:44 PM

It does work but is not legal here..ugh

Sep 15, 2015 5:21 PM

Wish it was legal here in the uk :( :( ive heard how good it is with the pain we get how i wish it was legal here.....

Sep 15, 2015 6:03 PM

I use cannabis lotion nightly. It helps me sleep but in morning cant hardly walk

Sep 15, 2015 8:10 PM

I don't take opiates either for pain, but fo use Hemp CBD in a vape pen. I find it helps me. I started out with 50 mg and finished the bottle, went up 100 mg next, finished that bottle and it helped, I just decided to try the 200 mg and as long as I have some I'm good. It's Hemp CBD Oil is legal in all 50 states. It doesn't have the high either. Thanks for listening!

Sep 15, 2015 8:13 PM

So hemp oil really works. I was thinking of trying it. Is there a brand you use? Where do you get it?

Sep 15, 2015 8:15 PM

Lol, I just said it under your discussion Kimberly 73.

Sep 15, 2015 10:18 PM

It's legal here but the doctors boycott it and most refuse to sign the card. It's very frustrating to technically be a criminal over using my medication. As it is.. I never know what type I am getting. Hopefully Trudeau gets in and they legalize it.

Sep 15, 2015 10:31 PM

Hemp CBD oil is legal as far as I know in all 50 states. Just have to watch where you get it from.

Sep 15, 2015 10:38 PM

So do you use it in a vape pen.The cbd oil?

Sep 15, 2015 11:04 PM

Tinameager, look into cbd oil. The thc is not active.

Sep 16, 2015 12:10 AM

I have heard that eating it in a biscuit or cake form is the best as smoking only gives relief for short periods of time. I have tried smoking but the relief didn't last long. However, to eat you would be paying quite a bit of money. Making a tea from maridjuna is also supposed to help.

Sep 16, 2015 5:57 PM

Lisa70, do you think the lotion is affecting your ability to walk the next morning? Or could it be something else in the lotion, or maybe from another med you take? It's not legal here in GA, but it it were id be tempted to try the lotion or tea. I'm curious about this. ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒผ

Sep 16, 2015 6:24 PM

I am on morphine and the same doctor gave me marinol, if I could get over my stupid memories of how I grew up with pot being so bad I would take it more often. It helps everything except fibro fog and I feel better. There are so many strains of pot now to help just about everything. I recommend it highly if you have chronic pain. It is amazing how much easier it is to exist on bad days. I try to understand I am not using it to get high but only medical reasons and I have no problem with anyone else using it, but I have never once said or even implied here or anywhere that I am normal or think in a straight line. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Bottom line, if you can get it try it, everyone is different but Marijuana helps so many different things I'm sure you can find a strain to help you.

Sep 28, 2015 4:56 PM

It works great for me! Better than anything else I've tried!

Sep 28, 2015 6:09 PM

I make an oil with coconut oil. It works well but can't take during the day. A lot of my friends have tried for mistral cramps and headaches. Great to relieve stress and anxiety.

Sep 28, 2015 6:20 PM

I only use it at night occasionally to help me sleep. Since it helps me sleep most all night I would say it helps with the pain as well.

Sep 28, 2015 8:25 PM

Hope the voters approve it here in November!

Sep 29, 2015 7:56 AM

I've tried cbd oil. I vape it. It doesnt take the pain away but it blocks the inhibitors that says hey you're in pain. No fuzzy "high" feeling at all. Helps you relax and feel normal, it also helps with sleeping. It's also legal in all 50 states

Oct 01, 2015 9:07 AM

I agree it does help

Oct 01, 2015 10:00 AM

I've heard good things about it for pain. I'm allergic so be wary of that rare possibility and MJ can aggravate anxiety and some mental health conditions. Good luck and if you try it hopefully it helps.

Oct 01, 2015 10:02 AM

And I have heard great things about the cbt oil @alishaUplegger! I don't think it has any bad reported side effects. I've thought about the topical versions.

Jul 23, 2016 2:49 AM

Keeps me going.. helps significantly with sleep which as we all know is very important. Keeps me from using opiates. Yay! Gx

Jul 26, 2016 9:04 PM

CA Campbell, I am confused. Are you talking THC administered through a doctor for pain or synrhetic marijuana? You made reference to Spice and K2, which are synthetic marijuana. Synthetic marijuana is now banned in most states. Synthetic marijuana is manufactured similarly to meth, utilizing all kinds of nasty chemicals and combining them with the synthetic THC and rhen soaking kitchen spices with the whole mix. When you hear of people dying from marijuana, it is not the plant marijuana, it is the synthetic marijuana. I watch people go into seizures and some die, unable to resuscitate using synthetic marijuana such as K2 and Spice, etc. There are now marijuana pills that oncologists are using on cancer patients for pain. Personally, if it was legal in my state, I would definitely consider try it for my fibro and sleep. My state is just allowing medical and it is extremely limited. Too bad I had to move from CO ten years ago! I don't want to scare anyone, but cannibas use is much different than the synthetics. How do I know? My job is locating illegal narcotics on 40 acres with 13 buildings and over 3000 people usilizing my incestigatory skills and using a narcotic dog. Many clients use the synthetic marijuana and end up in the hospital or dead.

Jul 27, 2016 1:44 AM

@fibrosucks very good points indeed. We have same problems with illegal synthetics here in uk. As "the plant" is also banned here in uk, i have to break the law and put myself in danger to aquire marajuana. Criminal in itself. Gx

Jul 27, 2016 5:18 AM

Spice is def not the natural cannabis herb... it is more like crack-weed (please excuse my terminology). I lost my best friend because she switched to spice thinking it was legal-weed... she now exists only for the spice... devistated her life, her family's emotional health, not to mention i miss her like crazy! It may have well have been meth, and shes still chasing it now... even tho its now banned in the UK.

Sep 07, 2016 2:55 PM

I've used the chocolate, it's okay after you've used it for a while, but can get expensive. I'm still new to it and looking for more information about the different types of strains.

Sep 09, 2016 12:26 AM

It helps me tremendously. I can be pain free for a while and sleep. I have chronic insomnia and could go days without sleeping.

Sep 09, 2016 6:18 PM

I live in NM and drove to Pagosa Springs to try it as well the hot springs were amazing on my fibro the weed from the dispensary works great i even went hiking. They have gummies, crackers Peppermint lotions sucker s ect. I favor the creams if my muscles neck hurt its great. I found once I was home that local Weeds made me feel worse. I could feel every pain imaginable intensified so you have to find a dispensary that is educated on pain and cbd.

Sep 11, 2016 7:22 PM

I'm on neurotin and tramadol... but my associates who uses it says that it helps them mentally and helps with sleep. When I was younger I tried street Marijuana and it made severely paranoid! !

Sep 11, 2016 7:49 PM

I think with the regulations and that it's also created for children and elderly it's safer from dispensary, for fibromalgia your looking for cbd.

Sep 11, 2016 8:26 PM

I smoke it when my pain is really bad...it works a hell of alot better than any prescribed opiod...plus I'd rather have something that is natural that a chemical drug....

Sep 11, 2016 8:40 PM

Same here, I hate taking narcotics. I smoke when I'm under a major fibro attack, or really fatigued to help my body relax. There's lots of education to help new comers. Talk to your pain management doctor about it.

Sep 11, 2016 8:44 PM

I use home grown. My hub makes me a tincture from 1 plant, different plt each year. It helps in that it takes my mind off the pain for a while. The pain is still there, but my focus changes for a time.๐Ÿ™‚

Sep 11, 2016 8:47 PM

That's awesome you mentioned tinctures, I favor them one drop under tongue and my alot of my pain is numbed. It doesn't seem to last long but I guess it's how much cbd is inside.

Sep 12, 2016 3:40 AM

I guess I'm odd because when I've tried it ; my pain was intensified.

Sep 12, 2016 8:27 AM

Yes that happens to me if it's sativas or hybrids. It's horrible that's why it's important to apply for your medical card and go to a dispensary or visit pagosa springs Colorado. There is a shop in pagosa called good earth meds. He has a YouTube channel also. I think you should learn about cbd. The higher the % of cbd the better for us. The shop owner SUFFERS FROM M. S. himself and he's around 70 years old it was a joy to meet him and learn from him. It's not a cure but with the right education it helps.

Sep 13, 2016 4:25 AM

I'm taking medical marijiama for the pain and it really makes a huge difference. I was told to take a drop of the liquid but it was far to strong. Now I use a toothpick and just dip the point in the liquid and that is enough to keep the pain away or on level that I can live with. Unfortunately it does not help for the fatigue , headaches or the burning of my hands and feet.

Sep 13, 2016 8:57 AM

Fibroffighter, Is the liquid cbd?

Sep 13, 2016 9:14 AM

Yes it's liquid cbd, like a thick oil.

Sep 13, 2016 9:17 AM

Yes cbd but not all are high percents, just go in and ask for a high cbd for pain. It's thick just drop behind bottom teeth and get a drink so you can't taste it. It's numbing but lower the cbd the shorter it last for me.

Sep 13, 2016 9:24 AM

Thanks for all the information๐Ÿ’ž

Sep 13, 2016 9:29 AM

Anytime honestly it's sad I know all this, it's only because I hurt so much and have an amazing husband. Who helps me find ways to feel better.

Sep 13, 2016 9:44 AM

Rachei you are very blessed to have an amazing husband. I know the feeling, as I too have an amazing husband. He has been asking me to learn more about medical cannabis, since I did get my medical card. So today I'm going to look into the cbd oil.

Sep 13, 2016 9:49 AM

Thank you there's so much to learn, I think my husband feels proud to learn it for me as to educate me lol. He says you can go to the vitamin shop and buy fillable capsules and put the oil in them easier to take. ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿค

Sep 15, 2016 10:39 AM

Is there anyone that uses mj and tells their doctor? I got kicked out of one pain mgmt place because when I went there I wrote that I didn't smoke on the paperwork. Then they decided to put me on Percocet. So I told them and he kicked me out!! So frustrating!! I'm in a crazy amount of pain constantly!!! The mj helps but I can only use it at home.

Sep 16, 2016 12:47 AM

I have really bad pain issues 7 different issues, so I take 20mg of oxycontin 3 times a day and smoke weed everyday most of the day, I'm going to start school soon to get a job I can do at home. And if you're looking for the pain relife with out the high, check out CBD oil, I'm looking into it but it really depends on where you live on how accecable it is. (Sorry for bad spelling, and any rambling I did, im so tired I can barely see) but I wanted to answer cuz I have a lot of experience with the mary jane.

Sep 16, 2016 6:03 AM

It has definitely helped me! Some of the other people I know with Fibro use the oil in their tea. I am ok with smoking it.

I do sometimes feel that when I smoke before bed I sleep like a boss but when I wake up I at times feel my pain is worse (I cannot handle it as well as I normally do)

But overall a life saver and all natural!!!!

Sep 16, 2016 6:37 AM

Cbd has helped me to tho I also smoke weed in the evenings when I cant bare it any longer

Sep 20, 2016 7:27 AM

Couldn't live without it.

Sep 26, 2016 5:33 AM

I take for pain, insomnia chronic migraines, IBS-D I have hard time eating it helps with that and tummy pains, and it never gonna GO AWAY, but it deff helps ease make it tolerable Knicks u out...

Sep 26, 2016 5:47 AM

I desperately wish we had med marijuana in Australia. I'm on soo many pain meds just to do stuff but with marijuana all i need is one cone and im completely frew of pain

Sep 27, 2016 4:25 AM

Wish they legalised it everywhere would be good for all

Sep 27, 2016 6:35 AM

Greetings, I'm in Canada where the start of legal marijuana and availability of medical marijuana is starting to open up. My Dr has mentioned the oil working for others anxiety and I have been researching as well. That aside, they explained that medical insurance will not cover their patients who are prescribed for pain with the THC strains ... Currently there are a few acceptable situations for dr and insurers .. I'm not sure all of them.
Facing a list of side effects from pharmaceuticals it seems like a no trainer.

Sep 27, 2016 8:20 AM

In Arkansas we have two different proposals on the upcoming ballot. One is put together by a group called Compassionate care and the group consists of a wide variety of people.

The other one is put together by the owners of a liquor store and it's backers are few but have the money to promote it. With this bill it will severely limit who can receive it. It also will also only allow 8 places to grown and distribute it. Those places will be determined by a panel of their choosing.

I am afraid that Arkansas will not pass either one. Having two on the ballet is going to be confusing. A lot of people signed the petition for the second one thinking it was the first one - so even then it was confusing. Ballot 7 is the compassionate care measure. (sigh)

When my fiance was in the final fight with his cancer I would get marijuana from the street and take it to him. Its the only thing that helped him with his pain, his sleep and his appetite. This is how crazy our world is. The doctor tried giving him what's known on the streets as Angel Dust. His hallucinations while taking a trial.of it (at the doctors office) were so terrifying that he had grabbed my hand. For 45 minutes I was the only thing he recognized in that room that was real. But that drug is legal and marijuana isn't? How does that make sense.

Ok - off my soap box.

Sep 27, 2016 12:08 PM

I had to stop my pain meds February because they were killing me. Since then I've been using marijuana to treat my pain. It works great most of the time. It depends on how good it is. I don't like to use it during the day because it makes me feel like I have a even worse fibro fog. If I'm really hurting or sick to my stomach I smoke during the day. I smoke it at night after dinner every day and I sleep well. There are my bad days when I wish I had pain killers still but I am learning to deal with the pain in other ways.

Oct 23, 2016 7:09 AM

Even with the "fibro meds" I still have severe pain, if it was not for cannabis I would be in a mental institution for a breakdown. It is the ONLY relief I get! The doctors don't listen though and my psychiatrist told me that cannabis causes cancer haha really doc...get educated!

Oct 23, 2016 10:03 AM

Saved my life I couldn't live without it.

Oct 23, 2016 12:46 PM

Cbd has helped me find relief more then anything except baths and I can't live in my tub. You have to educate yourself with cannabis it's different then a regular prescription. You have to mix different strains to find the perfect relief. Such as for sleeping you want a cbd heavy indica. For daytime a cbd sativas. For pain relief only a straight cbd. Smoking with hemp wick versus a Bic lighter is important. Bic lighters irritated my thyroid so hemp with a candle was better. Definitely have to learn the science of pain relief with cannabis but as we know with our pains learning is half the battle. Live laugh love, cannabis works.

Oct 24, 2016 8:59 AM

When my fiance was in his final stages of cancer none of the pain meds helped. They even had him on what is known on the streets as Angel Dust. He couldn't take the injections as when they tried that he held onto me tight and kept saying "Don't leave me!" he never said what the hallucinations were but it must have been bad. So I found someone to.sell me Marijuana and bought it to him. (this was back in 2003 - before medical marijuana was a thing) For Keith it reduced his pain without side effects, helped his lack of appetite and helped him to rest easier. I knew what I was risking if I got caught but to see him not having to struggle as much with the pain - it was worth it.

Here in Arkansas we are voting on legalizing medical marijuana. So many have no clue about it. Even doctors have done ads about the dangers. I noticed none of them were pain specialist though. So much misconception out there. :( I will be amazed if it passes.

Oct 24, 2016 9:24 AM

Greetings Rachel ... Up to my eyeballs in books etc on this subject and I do understand the right mix of treatment is different for everyone soooo a couple of questions. Are you taking strictly cdb oil without any THC and it has helped with your pain and you use a number of different strains of the cdb oil depending? It's rather daunting out there with almost too much info.
Thanks in advance.

Oct 27, 2016 8:16 PM

It's the only way I get any pain relief and sleep.

Oct 28, 2016 8:46 AM

Medical marijuana has been legalized in Ohio but they say it will be 2 years before it will be available.

Oct 30, 2016 10:59 PM

Rachei where do you get your CBD oil? And how pure is it?

Oct 31, 2016 5:23 AM

Following.. CBD oil.. Where?

Oct 31, 2016 5:37 AM

Most vape shops have it and you can always do a Google search for it โ˜บ Web sites will give you all of your information of the strength of the cbd oil...it depends on what products you get and what you are using it for. It also comes in different forms like patches, tinctures, oils, etc... Good luck friends! Hope that was the information you needed! ๐Ÿ’œ

Oct 31, 2016 6:19 AM

You can get cbd oil anywhere now. It's legal all over the place (All 50 states). You can get it in vape shops but I got mine online.. when I got mine it was $90 for 15ml. It's very expensive and didn't do anything for me. Good luck, I hope if you find what you are looking for that it gives you relief.

Nov 01, 2016 9:17 PM

Has anyone used this, yet?

Nov 03, 2016 11:42 AM

Thanks always, I want to d the CBD oil and I pray it works but I'll have to do that after schooling and getting a job, so for now I smoke it, but I would deffinatly try some, also it depends on how pure it is on how much it will help your pain the purer it is the better it works, so if you just got what clinics have which is usually 20%-50% pure, so the closer you get to 100% pure the better it helps your pain...or so I've learned though my research.

Nov 04, 2016 8:58 AM

I was prescribed sativex and it helps a lot especially during the day. It's cbd and thc and it's keeps me going during the day. The only problem is that at the end of the days my maximum dosage is taken. So at the end of the day I smoke befor I go to bed.

Nov 04, 2016 10:06 AM

samantha, I specifically went to a place that is 90% pure. It hasn't done Shit for me and it taste gross as hell.. LOL!!! I'd rather smoke a big fat blunt and get stoned but don't have that option.. oh well, such is life, right? ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜‰

Nov 06, 2016 7:56 PM

Same here on cbd was a waste of $.

Nov 06, 2016 9:30 PM

It's a thc cbd mix. Cbd alone won't help much. There's education with it, to get the correct dosage and type.

Nov 06, 2016 9:31 PM

I keep a journal of types I tried and effects so I remember what helped most. My memory is shot.

Nov 06, 2016 9:35 PM

Mines cbd tintature it's sweet not nasty. I have a medical card so I smoke my cbd, it's the 15% thc and 10% cbd. It's a sativa

Nov 09, 2016 2:48 AM

Florida just legalized medical MJ thank godddddd <3

Nov 24, 2016 1:41 PM

I've tried it before and ended up with a migraine from it so it wasn't very helpful for me. But I've heard from others that it helped them.

Nov 24, 2016 7:11 PM

Medical marijuana is legal here in NY.. however, my pain management clinic isn't certified to prescribe it. (When I questioned the doctor at my last appointment and he said that when it's "federally" legal they'll look into it). REALLY?!?! FFS!!! They are not handling or having anything to do with distribution.. you're just giving the fucking prescription!! OMG!! I just want to try something that may take my pain levels way down and not get kicked the hell out of pain management and not have to take the dozens of pills I take a day that were made in a damned laboratory as opposed to marijuana which is 100% natural and just grows in the ground!!! Ugh.. I don't get it. If I had the funds to be able to take care of getting it, I'd wean off the other shit and forget about it. No such luck for me.. oh well..

Nov 25, 2016 3:49 AM

It's not legal in the U.K. but I can tell you it doesn't work for me. I do know sufferers that it does work for

Dec 08, 2016 9:50 PM

Was in avtrial for fybro. Found out it was just gabulan not pregabulan it help a lot but trial is over and wount be on market anytime soon. Have thought about marijuana but not legal yet in Oklahoma. But if its legal before the other will try to see if it helps.

Dec 08, 2016 9:51 PM

Mean in a trial drug study.

Dec 09, 2016 8:03 AM

Well now... Turns out after my last appointment with pain management (this past Monday) I was told he IS certified for the medical marijuana program. Get this though... I have to go to another office that's 45 minutes away and see his mother (who is also a pain management doctor) pay her $250 CASH for the first visit and then $150 CASH every subsequent visit and of course the marijuana is cash as well. How am I supposed to afford that when my disability check barely pays my bills with little left over?? Then I would also have my monthly appointments with him for my meds and he'd reduce them as necessary. Guess I'm screwed either way. That's life in the big city!!! LMAO!!๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜œ

Dec 10, 2016 12:48 PM

The Kratom works for me, it's easy to take and it takes away the pains

Dec 10, 2016 3:35 PM

It's legal now in California but my conservative County may prevent it's legal use here. I hear the leafy.com is a good site for obtaining &/or educating one self.

Dec 10, 2016 3:49 PM

I live in Canada, our PM wants to legalize it in a few months (hopefully). That would be cool. I would probably have a medical card if I had the balls to ask for one. I'm terrified of the judgement and rejection after spending so long building a relationship with my GP. I know there are options onine too . I just need to do it, it costs a few hundred dollars .

Dec 10, 2016 3:59 PM

JessieNova ... I'm in the nation's capital and most Drs here give you a referral to another clinic, so they aren't liable for their medical insurance. Shop around some "memberships" are more costly then others.

But be prepared to do your own research I dont feel that they are completely educated since it's really so new. Lots of books at the library. I found it costly to purchase my CBT oil which has little to none thc (high) in it ... Contacted a site out west and they didn't require a Dr script at all. Many will give you compassionate price if your income is low.

Dec 10, 2016 4:07 PM

Yeah I've heard of that as well !! I'm fine with my current safe resources. Those websites are amazing for Canadians in remote areas.

Dec 10, 2016 9:42 PM

JessieNova, don't be afraid to ask!! If you don't then you won't get it if they are certified to prescribe it. Who gives a shot what they think?!?! You're in pain and want relief and you're asking for something that is natural instead of the manufactured Shit that most of us are all stuck taking so that we can function. You got this.. Go for it. (The worst that can happen is he/she says no). Sending positive vibes and {{Hugs}} to you.๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿค—

Dec 11, 2016 7:04 AM

Thank you Alwaysinpain!! My doctor in my small town took a long time to build trust with. She refused to give me anything for my pain until I started seeing other doctors. My worst fear would be her forcing me.off of my other meds because she thinks I'm an addict or something . Just crappy anxiety I think.
She is a lot better with me now. I guess there is no harm in asking !

Dec 11, 2016 7:47 AM

One of the most important things you can have with your doctor is an open line of communication. Transparency is key. The only thing that will happen on the question of medical marijuana is yes or no. If it works for you, they aren't going to take away all your meds, they will decrease them accordingly and do their best to keep you comfy. If it doesn't work then you'll be on your meds you're on now.
I totally understand where you're coming from and it IS scary. Try to breathe, write down the questions you'd like answers to and speak to the doctor as just another person (which is exactly what she is). That white coat doesn't make her superior or anything more than she is, a woman.
Sending positive energy your way along with some bravery and ease of your anxiety..
Hang in there, you may be very pleasantly surprised!!

Dec 11, 2016 8:48 AM

Thanks so much !! I will definitely ask her about it in the future once I work up some confidence. She does think I have fibro, and she says my psychiatrist would know how to / who to go to, to get diagnosed.
My next appointment is at the end of January haha. I would probably wait to ask until I have an official diagnosis.

Dec 14, 2016 12:45 PM

Have you tried CBD oil only 1% thc....so no high. I hear it works, may try.

Dec 15, 2016 9:51 AM

I've tried several CBD oils even 1500mg strong and it did nothing for me. I know it helps some and for those that it does, I couldn't be happier for you. It's always worth a try, right?๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Š

Jan 09, 2017 12:47 AM

I have used it on & off since a teen. Never found a strain that didn't lock me into my pain & make it worse until recently. Been a big help. Don't give up if you don't find the right one & try different things. In going to vape when I get a machine because it's safer but for now using a pipe. Good luck!

Jan 10, 2017 5:51 AM

Yup I spoke to my therapist about a MJ CARD he said same thing gonna bd 300.00 for first visit then I have to drive at least 6 hours north to go get my MJ I'm like WTF... I went back to puffing the real oil and man did I sleep pretty last night KO... I wish the gov wasn't do shady only out fir themselves

Jan 13, 2017 4:05 PM

MizzMonroe I will be paying $50 for the card and the dispensary delivers to your house. (Imagine that?!)๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’• Not getting my hopes up, I may not be able to afford what they have. LOL!!๐Ÿ˜‚

Jan 19, 2017 10:51 AM

So I'm going to try something. I use an essential oil called Copaiba. It is in the same family as Marijuana but does not contain THC. I have had luck taking in internally. You know the muscle jerks you get when you relax or are trying to sleep? (Most annoying thing ever! ) Drinking copaiba in water before bed totally cured me of those - after about 2 weeks. I still jerk in my sleep, apparently, but it doesn't wake me up.
So my thought is to use copaiba oil in my vapor. Stopping by the vapor store today to see if my guy can help be figure out the right ratio of copaiba/vg oil. I'll keep you all posted. ....

Jan 19, 2017 12:36 PM

Healing hands, I hope it works!!! Let us know๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ’จ I have been using THC and I don't care any more. It helps bring the pain levels down some and helps to quiet my nerves a bit. I do vape but not THC, just regular e-juice. It's relaxing all by itself. I do have a vape called "high voltage" and it is raspberry chai and there's melatonin in it. That's helps some as well. Good luck.๐Ÿ˜Š

Jan 19, 2017 9:34 PM

Alwaysinpain Chai raspberry sounds yummy! I have caramel apple - that's my favorite. I realized that my vapor has parts that are rubber. Essential oils eat away petro chemicals (and you want them to! ) So I neex to get a new coil for my old vapor and try it in there. I did find out that there are places here that sell CBD oil so that's tomorrow's field trip. :)

Jan 20, 2017 9:05 AM

I prefer making canna butter and baking with it. Works very well for relieving my pain. If you're a newbie don't plan on driving after ingestion.

Jan 20, 2017 9:53 AM

How successful were you buying CBD oil locally. The closest online providers require a doctor's letter describing what I would benefit from its use. Anyone made stems into tea?

Jan 20, 2017 10:08 AM

Tamtoad, CBD oil is legal in all 50 states. There's no doctor's note or anything required to order it. Where were you trying to get it from?

Jan 20, 2017 2:41 PM

It works, just make sure you get your dosing right!

Jan 20, 2017 10:09 PM

I find some strains help more with pain others with sleep. I prefer to eat it, but it requires a lot more $to make effective doses not to mention higher penalties.
If you can vape through a volcano it is a less harsh way to inhale it.

Jan 20, 2017 10:54 PM

AlwayzinPain..I online tried to order from local seller who delivers located in Selma, CA

Jan 21, 2017 3:38 AM

Look up a company called "Diamond CBD" You can find them
On Instagram along with several other places that sell it. They also have edibles and drinks, etc.. hope that helps you a bit Tamtoad. When I discussed it with my pain management doc, he said I need more THC than CBD. Hope that you can get some relief from the CBD alone. I found no benefit.

Jan 21, 2017 8:17 AM

I didn't make it by there yesterday. Any recommendations on dosage?

Jan 21, 2017 1:23 PM

Can I actually add a comment now? Wow it's letting me โ˜บ If I have a high pain day I take about 35mg in a chocolate bar at bedtime. It helps immensely with muscle tightness.

Jan 27, 2017 4:35 PM

Empire Wellness has some great info about what strains work for different things on their Instagram page.

Jan 27, 2017 7:36 PM

A family member uses the patches and edibles and says it does wonders! My employer doesn't have a policy so I can't. But someday they'll get up to date and I'll be able to use it.

Feb 14, 2017 11:20 PM

Total lifesaver for me to. I use the cbd capsules where I can take them at work because there is no THC. They really work for my pain as Rick Simpson oil does.
I broke my back and had to wait 3 to 5 years for my surgery and the found out I was doing damage to my spinal cord.
I had 12 Hours Spinal surgery and now have 2 titaumim rods and 4 titaumim plates with 36 screws. So I know the pain you are going through

Feb 24, 2017 7:14 PM

I have complex reginal pain syndrome also mialfacial pain syndrome along with chronic pain i am a legal medical marijuana patient in Minnesota its helping i cant take opids either

Mar 11, 2017 1:30 AM

We have CBD lotion here. For those who don't know what that is, it's the medicinal aspect of marijuana that doesn't produce altered states. My daughter, who is an incomplete paraplegic for 10 years now, swears by it. I'm seriouslyโ€‹ considering it as an option for my own pain.

Mar 12, 2017 6:33 PM

Yes, CBD definitely helped me. There's no psychoactive effects and it's a great pain reliever. Perfect for those who don't like pain pills or if your system is sensitive and you are experiencing your body rejecting pain pills. The dose all defers from person to person. Definitely something to talk to your specialist about. ๐Ÿ’œ

Mar 12, 2017 7:48 PM

How do I find out about getting the tea? The lotion? And it is NOT mind altering that is causes you to get high. I have never used marijuana before.

Mar 13, 2017 2:23 AM

I'd like to kniw about the tea and cream.
I'd like to try natural remedies.

Mar 13, 2017 9:44 AM

I've got a local guy here that makes a cbd salve. That stuff is amazing. It has healed the incision on my hand from my last surgery which had refused to heal.

Mar 13, 2017 9:47 AM

I am a fan of Arnica cream with cbd salve from Fay Farms. You can order online from Fay Farms and Arnica cream is at your local drugstore. I want to try the cbd patch for nerve pain next.

Mar 13, 2017 10:00 AM

I'm allegric to it so I can choose pain or my head in the porcelain god ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Mar 13, 2017 2:00 PM

I live in Colorado & I am no longer on any opiatesfor my pain because of marijuana.

Mar 13, 2017 4:35 PM

There are different strains of marijuana, so it's best to consult your doctor and/or workers at the dispensary. It was legalized here for medical use a few months ago but there aren't any dispensaries yet. I told my doc that I will be the first in line where there is one. For now, I try to use CBD oil. It works some of the time.

Mar 15, 2017 10:48 AM

I use medical marijuana with a high cbd content it really helps with pain and helps me to fall asleep. There are lots of different types of things you can take if your not wanting to actually smoke. I have found some interesting article in pintrist about medical marijuana and auto immune diseases

Mar 15, 2017 10:52 AM

Cbd is stronger than thc and won't necessarily give you that high feeling it's a different part of the plant they extract and it is made for chronic pain. Some people don't like the high feeling so anything with cbd helps with pain and your so high

Mar 15, 2017 10:54 AM

Ok, I get it.
I'm assuming the " munchies " are not part of CBD?

Mar 15, 2017 10:56 AM

No they are not, I get a vape pen that has cbd or a cream that I rub into my hurting body parts and honestly there are concentrats that have just cbd and can be smoked, they help wonders

Mar 15, 2017 10:59 AM

Try searching fir cbd oil and fibromyalgia

Mar 15, 2017 11:00 AM

Hope that helps

Mar 15, 2017 2:54 PM

I would prefer natural stuff over medication. I will look and purchase and apply oil.
THANK YOU๐Ÿ’‹

Mar 18, 2017 2:31 AM

I have benefited from MMJ for my chronic nausea. It's the only thing that will keep me from throwing up. I don't smoke to get stoned though, I use it as medicine.

Mar 18, 2017 10:12 PM

I use cbd lotion and pure cbc oil. And occasionally smoke some thc

Mar 19, 2017 12:58 PM

Here's my bottom line opinion: The government doesn't have the right to keep a safe medicine away from people who are in pain (or need it to eat on chemo or to control seizures, for any condition it can help). It's cruel and it's a violation of my rights as an individual. I seriously want to challenge the government in court over this one on behalf of everyone who needs this medication.

Mar 26, 2017 9:32 AM

Can anyone order the CBD oil or do u need a prescription or something? And will it show up in ur urine test and isn't it illegal? I was diagnosed abt 20 yrs ago with Fibro and I've taken pretty much every pain meds there are out there! I have been in pain management for abt 15 yrs! I am willing to try just abt anything for some relief as long as it's legal! So far nothing has helped me very much at all! TIA for any suggestions! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mar 26, 2017 12:25 PM

It's legal in all 50 states in USA don't know about other countries.

Mar 26, 2017 4:30 PM

I do, its a lifesaver.

Mar 26, 2017 6:43 PM

Each person has different reactions to different to different strains. Canasos is a good website to look at reviews of different strains. Also edibles may also work very well. Personally I find that after a bowl or 2 I don't want the pain meds.

Mar 26, 2017 7:09 PM

Works for me better than anything else so far.

Mar 26, 2017 8:13 PM

And while federally it is illegal in the U.S., there are several states where it is legal both medically and recreationally.

Mar 27, 2017 9:51 AM

It's completely legal in where I live in Oregon if you are an adult, so I think I might talk to my doctor about this

Mar 27, 2017 10:00 AM

Which strain do you think it's better? I be tried diesel and it was very good be free of pain for awhile

Mar 27, 2017 11:02 AM

It depends on what I need to get done. If there's anything that needs to get done I'm all about the fruity indcas, but if I can't sleep it's the purple sativas. The best thing you can do is experiment. Find what works for you and your pain.

Mar 27, 2017 12:08 PM

Tks. Here is not easy to get because it's not allowed. But i will search for fruity indicas

Mar 27, 2017 11:45 PM

@Muzikah I live in Canada and I go to a Cannabis clinic here in Ontario just north of Toronto. I find it definitely helps. I am still finding the right amounts and combinations of dried products as well as the oils. I take the CBD oil during the day as it does not give me that heady high like the THC does. I find this helps me sleep so I use it at night before bed. There is a great app called Leafly which gives you tons of information on all different kinds of strains. Definitely do your research. I have finally found the right strains for me but it has take 5 months. Good luck.

Mar 27, 2017 11:46 PM

Btw.. I used CBD Mango Haze in the daytime and Blueberry at night. Both are excellent.

Mar 28, 2017 11:49 AM

@SamSmurf where do you get your CBD oil? So far I have been getting mine from Charlotte's Web online

May 13, 2017 7:26 AM

Total life saver for pain & anxiety! Much safer than all my dr prescribed meds.

May 13, 2017 9:48 AM

It's amazing. I don't like the "high" feeling, so I use a strain that is super high in CBD. I don't get high and the pain is gone.

May 13, 2017 9:49 AM

The stuff I get here in Temecula is called BOAX. They also have something called CBD Kush.

May 19, 2017 7:44 PM

I use CBD oil. Help oil. No THC for me. Could not live without it. I am able to make it at home and adjust it.

May 19, 2017 9:14 PM

I must be leaving under a rock. I havent smoked anything. However, I was in Walgreens telling a sales rep about my fibromyalgia pain. We talked about 5 mins, I was in the PAIN relievers section (of course). So she whispered to me "have I ever tried marijuana"and I looked at her in shock,๐Ÿคค! She stated that her dad has cancer and smoking it helps his pain. She went on to say how I can buy it from her ๐Ÿ˜ฒ. I couldn't believe she was trying to sale me illegal drugs at Walgreens! At that time I didn't know that people were using that for pain?? So my friend whom has fibro explained that medical Doctors are prescribing it in some cases. ๐Ÿค” However, not in my state! I would consider it in a pill form but I still wouldn't smoke anything legal or not!๐Ÿ˜ฆ

May 20, 2017 10:14 PM

I use hemp CBD in a tincture and lotion the only problem is it can be expensive and its hard to get covered but thats whats worked best for me

May 20, 2017 10:35 PM

I have just started taking medical cannabis oils... Im not having any pain relief and i keep increasing the daytime oil..but am afraid it will just be too much to be able to afford it..
I did read today that sun life insurance is supposed to cover med marijuana..so Im def gonna look into it this week
Oh and the taste makes me want to vomit lol..but Ive found if u take a tsp of honey right after it helps a lot
Good luck

May 21, 2017 11:38 AM

Is it true that the cbd/thc oils/tinctures work better topically?

May 21, 2017 2:43 PM

I'm not sure, but I once tried THC oil mixed with coconut & lemon oil (was 1 mixture) Rubbed it on my neck & shoulders & back & ribs & Sweet relief omg yes.
No idea where to find it & it's so expensive

May 22, 2017 11:52 AM

GA recently passed law supporting medical MJ oil use, but they forgot to pass laws approving possession of, or transporting across state lines, or ability to grow and produce the oil. Go figure!

May 23, 2017 3:57 AM

IT will be legalised in the next few years..it's a massive revenue maker for the government and would put billions into the nhs and similar care systems. They are considering it. I swear by it legal or not. It helps my pain no end so no one will stop me ingesting a plant! For billions of years it has been used for many methods but drinking it in tea twice boiled down plus sugar and tea bag and your body will soon relax to this natural miracle of nature. Xx

May 23, 2017 10:49 AM

How do you make the tea?

May 27, 2017 2:32 PM

Sounds like put plant/stem in water, boil till water reduced by half, then repeat. Them add to a regular cup of tea of your choosing with sweetener. I prefer honey.

May 27, 2017 2:38 PM

My doctor has written a letter that I have copies of that makes it possible to purchase & possess thc/cbd oils & plant for pain relief/relaxation from fibro over active nerve firing.

May 27, 2017 2:40 PM

Now I have to contact seller who delivers & find the mix that works for me.

May 28, 2017 3:18 PM

So all you needed was a note from your dr?

May 28, 2017 4:58 PM

Don't take it in smoking form. Smoking is bad for your body just like @mochaBaRee said. Cannabis oil is what we are talking about. You have to do research to find one that doesn't get you high. Check out fedupwithfatigue.com they have lots of research on it

May 28, 2017 9:42 PM

Cool! Yes, I want the oil to reduce pain

May 29, 2017 8:52 PM

I use canabis oil to relieve my 24/7 radiculopathy pain. I'm able to do so because medical use of canabis is legal here in Canada, but only through mail orders, and its usage monitored by prescription.
I highly eccommend its use to anyone suffering from pain and also suggest that you educate yourself a bit more about its potencies of THC (various intensities) and CBD (the chemical responsible for pain relief itself). before considering as an option. https://www.projectcbd.org

May 29, 2017 10:49 PM

ahh, sweet relief

Jul 05, 2017 3:09 AM

I have heard that CBD in the cannabis is supposed to be a great help. I have been on OxyNeo (OxyContin) for 7 years. I am leary of taking the two of them together. Is anyone else in the same situation?

Jul 06, 2017 5:54 PM

On oxycodone (short acting) not oxycontin ( long acting) so I want to try the cbd oil after or instead of. You are right to wonder about your long acting med as it is always in your system. However. CBD is the part of the plant which has no head effects. I would think it's safe but your doctor may know different?

Jul 08, 2017 10:57 AM

I use an oil I found. Omg..its nice to sleep pain free.

Jul 10, 2017 3:10 PM

It is a Godsend, RSO CBD oil in particular.

Jul 10, 2017 4:14 PM

SistersofCBD! Gives some pain relief without the high

Jul 16, 2017 10:15 AM

I guess I'm just not wired the same...I have tried this miracle exlixir CBD oil...ha! What a waste for me...I couldn't "really be advised how much nor how often to take because we're not docs and everyone is different" ...I'd be better off with novicaine (if I wasn't allergic that is)
But as for pot...I don't want nor like the high..I'm psychotic enough without it!

Jul 17, 2017 1:26 PM

I honestly won't smoke it but I heard it helps a lot . ๐Ÿ˜Š

Jul 25, 2017 6:41 PM

I take Opioids but, have wondered if marijuana works so can you tell me does it. My pain is very intense now that I can no longer work I've thought about it. And l live in Colorado

Jul 25, 2017 10:57 PM

I started taking CBD capsules and they're a freakin' miracle! I also have a topical CBD ointment that helps cool my most sore spots. I'm hoping to find some CBD tea & bath bombs. It really works for me. THC on the other hand makes everything worse. It's pretty strange.

Jul 27, 2017 6:43 PM

Carmel made with 1 cup of cannibutter. It's a lot of work making edibles that taste normal, but it's worth it for my daughter. She'd been on opiates until she ended up with bad gallbladder issues and spots on her liver. She's off all her meds, (10 different pills) and only takes the different edibles. It's all in the prep. She won't drive on it, but she will work on it and be able to smile at customers. She gets what her Dr calls a body high, not a head high. She doesn't act silly, she can walk and move and people can touch her skin without her flinching. When you have someone in your life who lays on the couch crying and throwing up from pain, but with edibles she can hold down a job and smile. .....it's so worth it.

Jul 28, 2017 2:26 AM

The creation of medical marijuana dispensaries is to stop the misuse of cannabis. Legal marijuana can be gotten from medicalcannabistation.com in colorado

Jul 28, 2017 2:34 AM

With a medical card in Alaska you can grow 6 plants and have up to a oz of mj. You can still be under a Dr care and grow it yourself. It's a little harder because you have to figure out the mg yourself, but it's a lot easier on the wallet.

Jul 29, 2017 9:05 AM

How can you misuse pot? Forgive my stupidity...but I don't get it..

Jul 30, 2017 11:19 PM

I'm try the CBS. I use medical marijuana and I went off all the opioids.

Jul 30, 2017 11:57 PM

I was in hospital after 3 surgeries and
they gave me everything possible give to with no relieve. Nothing would help after 3 days of trying not sleeping. I had my vape pen in my laptop bag, because my 82yrs old Mom had to transport me 150 miles. I had to be in back seat to keep leg up. I used it every time I felt like I needed "bit on bullet". She had known that I used it for pain. But she didn't even know, I was worried about giving her anxiety from driving me. I told her after. So after I was check on by the nurses and after waiting for medications to kick in and still in pain. I took hit and it was gone. That made me a true believer. I thought I could be and advocate for it, because they took away from us here in Montana. We had to fight to get it back. All story you have heard about it are lies. I'm not a pothead, thats the fear we all have, but if you can see it a miracle it was given to us by GOD. Watch the 1st report that CNN Doctor did on it. If i screwed up on what i wrote I'm dyslexic, so don't shame me.

Jul 31, 2017 1:53 AM

It helps but I had to stop because I get drug tested randomly at the pain clinic. Federal urine screening which means I'd lose the little care I have. So I don't risk it. Sad cuz it really helped in combination with the little meds I'm on

Aug 01, 2017 8:58 PM

I'm have to wate for insurance to cover or I'd try it. I get drug tests at my pain clinic but now because its legal in mn my pain doctor has to prescribe it to me if I have a medical condition that can benefit from its use.

Aug 02, 2017 5:06 PM

So I have to ask you guys...Do you still get a buzz off your pot? If you smoke every 4hrs for a week do you still get high?

What if you have sever asthma or COPD, on oxygen and smoking not a viable option and let's say you have gastric ulcers or other stomach issues which make digesting said God given plant difficult..what options do you have if you cannot get meds?

In my book, if you're smoking every couple hours, sitting on couch and eating twinkies all day...ya might be a pot head!
But just like homosexuality: why does that have to be forced down my throat? I'm not interested in it and your usage doesn't impact me...and my pain meds should be the same..why call me dependent or addicted?
I'm really gettig tired of the same rhetoric over and over...something is wrong when police even suggest you get a pot card!

Aug 02, 2017 5:20 PM

I'm sooo far from an expert, someone will surely say everything that I'm leaving out. So here goes.
Some pot has more of a head high, some has more of a body effect. For my daughter, we get the stuff that doesn't make her high and munchie, just stops the ulcer, gallbladder, spine and fibro pain. Relaxes her muscles so she can sleep. Her lunges won't let her smoke, so I make it into either carmels or mints (mints are nicer when stomach is bugging her)
Im sorry if you feel like people are shoveling this down your throat. It might just be people like me who have seen the difference it's made in the life of someone we love.

Aug 03, 2017 12:16 PM

ElentraVitra, I really am happy you found something that worked and you can legally get...I should be able to do the same...at one time pot was the gateway drug. People found out everything we were being told was a lie. (Regardig pot)
I can't handle pot...okay here's a pill...what's the problem? Why do you care? I don't live with anyone who could steal my meds...I'm over 21...have legitimate health issues.. mainly, sever pain....so why am I hassled and can't get any meds?

Aug 04, 2017 12:01 AM

The marijuana isn't mine, it's my daughter. She can't afford the regular meds. I have to be very careful cooking them for her because if I get some on my skin and pop hot, they will kill my pain contract. So I can't even try it to see if it would help. I just take the normal things, norco, morphine, savella, muscle relaxers, antinause, blood thinner and beta blocker.

Aug 04, 2017 12:42 AM

And you shouldn't have to be living your life like that! Once upon a time we didn't!
I had a friend who had eaten something with poppy seeds (I think) and tested with a false positive but you explain I don't use that...There is NOTHING for ADVOCATING for us just trying to get legal help!
I have been going to ER (because if they gave me anything, I had family nearby who could drive)

I was told "it looks like You're seeking" UM, yes I am intense pain! And nothing is being done to help me, Doesn't matter my logic, I can explain reasoning, doesn't matter...oh apparently I used 11 different pharmacies! Matter of convience or some friends giving $ to pay for them so went to nearest one..but hey get pot and ya won't have to worry!
Another thing that scorches my cookies, you have legitimate documented issues...why should you be questioned? Why the hassle? Just trying to make most of your life. If it didn't work, you wouldn't use anything..but forcing this social medical dictated regulation is ๐Ÿด ๐Ÿ’ฉ!
Do those regulated tests on new scriptors!
Some of this is rhetorical; however, I just don't get it...
You should not have to be so worried about absorption which may result in YOU not getting your meds! ๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜–. ๐Ÿคก
I think there may be more compassion for animals!
Its just NUGGIN FUTZ MAN!

Aug 11, 2017 11:17 AM

I use it. I smoke it for now because that is my cheapest route. Fibro for a decade. IN the past year, ankylosing spondylitis and possible CNS Lupus, have been added to my diagnoses along with years of severe depression. Marijuana HAS SAVED MY LIFE IN A MILLION WAYS. I've been doing it pretty much daily for about 7 months. I refuse to take meds that can possibly or possibly not help..(lyrica etc.) I'll not do that to mybody or my mind. To this day, I'm happily amazed at the pain relief. Don't knock the THC folks. If we're all in pain for soooo long I'm sure you dabble in depression. That THC when done in moderation and on a daily basis DOES not make me stupid silly or trippy... it makes me smile and see clearly with a brighter outlook on my future of dealing with this pain for the rest of my life... I'm 46... still young (lol). Even when the thc is not in my system so to say, i still feel like I'm being trained to be a more happy person. FOR CERTAIN TYPES OF PAIN, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TRY THIS MIRACLE OF A PLANT!

Aug 11, 2017 6:49 PM

Does it come in a pill from? If not do you actually have to smoke it??๐Ÿ˜•

Aug 11, 2017 6:56 PM

A lot of places sell edibles. Like gummies or carmels.

Aug 14, 2017 2:32 PM

Gold caps are a pill form of marijuana

Aug 14, 2017 8:29 PM

Itโ€™s the only reason Iโ€™m not addicted to opioids or dead. Infused topicals help. So many ways it can help provide relief.

Aug 14, 2017 8:31 PM

I take no prescription pain meds.

Aug 19, 2017 5:24 AM

Well you doing good to be able to get by without prescription meds. ๐Ÿ‘

Aug 19, 2017 8:18 AM

Nope. Iโ€™m in constant agony. Just because I donโ€™t take prescriptions doesnโ€™t mean Iโ€™m doing well. (I wish it did) Iโ€™m using other alternative things to get by. I just figure the pills donโ€™t work for me, side effects are bad (Iโ€™m very sensitive to everything) and pills make me super b*tchy; so Iโ€™m better off without them. Iโ€™ve got enough things going on without the added stress. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Thank you for helping me realize that medicine is a stressor for me. I didnโ€™t realize until now. Even just thinking about taking meds makes me really anxious. I was supposed to start topiramate almost a month ago. I havenโ€™t even opened the bottle. Iโ€™m terrified to try it again due to kidney stones and bad experience last time I took it. Eye opener for me.

That's if it's legal in your state.

Delivery is done discreetly

Sep 08, 2017 2:24 PM

That would be illegal. I've been getting by without participating in illegal activity. I don't believe if you do something wrong, you will reap benefits. However, I'm happy for those whom states have legalized it and they have that option.

It was a piece of the puzzle for me, but a bit cost prohibitive for the amounts I needed. But, it did help with managing pain and helping me to sleep... great dreams, too!! Lol

Cbd caused extream headaches for me

My mother and I suffer from fibromyalgia. She was diagnosed 21 years ago and has been on opioid treatment ever since. I have been diagnosed only for a couple of months but have suffered for years. We are regular marijuana users/believers as well as CBD oil. Which basically has the same effect as smoking a joint but without the psychosis. We found that it helps relax our muscles enough to where we can get a great night of sleep without restless legs or insomnia. We also notice that it helps our mood. We are able to go through a whole day without stopping anymore. She is down to one pain pill a day and I have one joint at night.

Yes I toke all day, keeps the pain at bay. Helps me shoot dem fadeaways when I'm runnin the play

If you don't want to smoke it, just ingest the oil. Can take two hours to kick in but it's good for 10 to 12 hours.

CBD has helped me decrease pain meds by 3/4. I wish more people had access to it as itโ€™s been a godsend when Iโ€™m in pain or having anxiety due to it.

I did try it when I was desperate for relief but it didn't work for me but I do know people it has helped. How do you use it to make tea? I might try that.

Mar 15, 2018 3:30 AM

Itโ€™s been a lifesaver for me. I tend to vape cannabis oil, since Iโ€™m a singer and canโ€™t handle smoking. I also eat it and use salves. CBD doesnโ€™t get you high, but does help with pain. You should look it up.

I recently tried it (havenโ€™t since my teens and Iโ€™m 3 years shy of being 50). I suffer with depression horribly up and down. It has truly helped me feel โ€œnormalโ€ does that make sense. Anti depressants donโ€™t make me feel that great and the only side effect I know is the munchies and laughter

Iโ€™m also new to this site FYI

If you have the oil, you can just put it in your tea. Just that easy.

The cbd/thc. Combination vape & oils are best in relieving pain. My discovery focus right now is cannabis vs hemp products. I believe what comes from the marijuana plant is superior in pain relief. My routine meds meds seem to wire me & i dont need that additional excitement in my pain program.

My dr recommended it. I was hesitant but decided to try a year ago. I found in order for it to work I have to do in some form every day. I think of it as an anti inflammatory not a pain pill. It attacks the inflammation and thus helps pain. I also found with my degree of pain and inflammation I need the thc. I also found some topical balm that really works as long as I put on twice a day.

Apr 28, 2018 5:27 PM

Pawpaw. Was that topical with CBD.. I am using a balm called Gold Medicated Rub with 50mg CBD....I love it. Pain goes with no side effects. Primarily my knee & wrist, hands.

I've been using CBD tea bags recently as recommended on this thread - it did help when the pain was extreme ๐Ÿ‘

Apr 29, 2018 8:09 AM

do not just take cannabis by smoking it , it will get you high and you will not get anything done , use the cbd in it , thatโ€™s the legal part of it to treat chronic pain etc

Apr 29, 2018 5:50 PM

Tantoad the balm is called Michigan organic rub extra Releaf. It has both cbd and thc. You do not get high from it. I have given it to others and they are amazed at how well it works. No idea of how many mg.

Apr 29, 2018 5:52 PM

Abbyxwoodx yes I do get high. But when Iโ€™m in severe pain I canโ€™t really get anything done either. So actually I feel better and do more when high. So, itโ€™s all individual.

Apr 29, 2018 6:18 PM

I use it regularly, after work and on weekends. You might try a non-psychoactive CBD strain

May 09, 2018 12:59 AM

A dr recommended it to me as a sleep aid for deeper rem n to get off 1 mg of klonopin. I agree but like 500 mg cbd vape but Iโ€™d add thc if they legalize it. The cannibinoids are good. Causes fatigue sometimes for me

May 14, 2018 10:00 AM

I bought some CBD a month ago (went from 300 to 1000 mg) for vaping but beside a slightly elevated mood did nothing for my right shoulder pain (tendon attachment Mar. 12th โ€˜18)

May 14, 2018 3:45 PM

I've just discovered CBD tea helps with migraines ๐Ÿ‘

May 17, 2018 12:27 PM

I don't know what I would do without it. CBD doesn't work very well for me but strained with THC help me the most. Your local dispensary will be very helpful in guiding you to strains for pain relief, energy, relaxation and sleep.

May 25, 2018 7:53 AM

I agree of you can find a dispensary. Our local Chief of. Police does not approve the Ca law--medicinal & recreation legal bit that has not stopped him from closing our dispensaries. So it's online for me. Yes I find the addition of THC with the CBD. more helpful up to 50/50 when pain/anxiety really bad. The cbd...alone so far just puts me to sleep which is perfect at bedtime.
