Hi all I'm new here I was wondering how everyone deals with their medication? This is just my morning dose alone and I'm sick of it. All the weaning and building doses, trying to find the right mix, all the injections. How do you cope?
One day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time - depending on the day.
Its a long journey of trial and error before you find the right combination. Frustrating - I know. We are all.so different so what works for me won't necessarily work for you.
As for managing my meds - I set the meds up for two weeks using those pill dispensers. I also have alarms set to remind me when I need to take them. For me it makes it easier to also set up my times to coincide with meals and bedtime. :) While trying to find what works it helps to keep a journal or use the pain diary - keeping notes on what medication you are taking and how your pain is throughout the day. This will also help your doctor determine what doesn't work or what works but may need adjusting. For me - if I didn't keep a journal then I never knew how to describe any plus or minus of a new medication.
Welcome to the group. I hope you will find this a great place to talk, vent, share and even laugh.
Ugh. About 4 months ago I was going through some crazy symptoms. Including unable to get words out.. Saw my primary care doctor and he went over my medications. I went (gradually) from taking 12 to taking 4 plus alive +50 vitamin and minerals plus a low dose Bayer .. And I was feeling so much better. At least until the wreck.
