Anyone taking methotrexate for lupus what are your thoughts on the medication

I have lupus but that hasn't been suggested yet, just Plaquinyl and Prednisone so far. I have to see my dr soon and will ask about it. My mom had temporal arteritis and took methotrexate for over a year. She didn't have any problems with it and she was extremely sensitive to medications. The high dose Prednisone was what created most of her suffering and we think may have contributed to many more problems but the methotrexate was okay. I think she just had to be tested for kidney toxicity from time to time. Good luck lalab I would like to hear how you tolerate the methotrexate and if it helps.
