Migraine and Headaches

Nov 26, 2015 10:54 PM

I have been having severe migraines and headaches since a car accident a few years ago with memory and very serious cognitive problems. I am now on topamax and i think its causing even more problems with my thinking and memory and more vision problems that my brain injury already induced. Anyone else been on this drug or heard of it?

Anonymous, I was on Topamax. There are many different medications for migraines out there, has your doctor had you on anything else? Have you seen a provider who specializes in migraines?

I take topomax daily. My neurologist originally prescribed it twice a day; but after having the zombie effect for too long I talked first to my pharmacist, then neuro, and now take my entire 24hr dose in the evening before bed. It's made all the difference in the world for me!

I hope your dr can come up with a plan that works for you!

Anonymous, I take topimax twice daily for my migraines because I can't take any of the triptains because I'm allergic to them. It work's well for me, but everyone is different with different needs. I pray they can find you something that works for you! 😘🙏💕

When I was on topamax I had the worst time of my life.
I ended up having flu and cold like symptoms, all day. I even started passing out. But its different with other people. I know once I got off of it, all of those symptoms went away quickly
