Migraines and Fibromyagia

Sep 21, 2014 12:17 AM

Here is my story. I am 28 years old about 4 years ago I was diagnosed with FMS. But I have learned to deal with pain some days I just stay in bed but most of the I am fine. But my biggest concern is I have had migraines sence I was 6 years old. I have tired everything including many doctors and medications I have only had part time relief at best. Its just so annoying having all these migraines and no relief in sight. I have tired many diets such as no bread no caffeine more vegetables and fruits. I wear glasses to see if that helps but I am at a complete loss in so many ways.

I went to a Naturepath and was put on progesterone. appt. kinda spendy but been worth it so far. And then my Dr. put me on a beta blocker that to my surprise I haven't had as many migraines. I would get them weekly if not daily. I still get them not as often.

I started having migraines about 6 months after having my son in 1998. By 2010 I was having them more often than not, and the severity was intense. I started seeing a new neurologist who put me on Trileptal, an anti-seizure med that is sometimes used off label to prevent migraines. That was a wonder drug for me. Both the severity and the frequency were much lessened. I've been able to use Midrin since to control the ones I do get. Sometimes the best thing is to find a doc who's willing to think outside the box.

I was diagnosed with FMS last year but I've noticed for the last 10 years or more I've had a constant headache with migraines almost 3-4 times a week. Sometimes mild and other times severe. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it? thanks.

Ive been suffering alot with headaches and migraines .
Ive been getting light headed and when I bend down I go dizzy, which causes my headache to get worse.
Then I feel like my sugar levels have dropped to the point I eat something sugary which helps a little .
Ive made myself a doctor appointment for Thursday to see why this doing this and to put my mind at rest as there is heart problems, high blood pressure, and diabetes in my family so I hope if it is one of these they can catch it in time .
