Hi everyone sorry if this is a taboo subject, My GP thinks I might have endometriosis as I haven't had a period for three months now and when I did they were extremely painful, Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you in advance💕
Hey 💕 I am sorry to hear your periods are irregular. I am happy you are talking to your doc about it. Keep track of How many days you are on it and how heavy it is. And also how long of nothing. All that information will help your doctor to rule things out .
I hope it's nothing serious. Sending prayers your way ((Gentle hugs))
I was given the implant because my periods had got soo heavy I was going through a nighttime pad and heavy Tampax inside of half an hour or if I was sitting down and stood up I absolutely flooded to the point it pushed the Tampax out and overflowed the nighttime pad and whatever trousers or leggings I had on and it was extremely painful. I also had very large clotts as well. I was told by a doctor to take ibuprofen as that is meant to reduce bleeding by 20%....it made no difference to the bleeding or the pain and it gave me diarrhoea!!! I've always had heavy periods with bad cramps but it's never been investigated but I've never pushed it.
I hope they find the reason and are able to help. Sending you positive vibes and warm healing hugs xx
@ Sezzy. You just said all the reasons I had my surgery but I am allergic to iburprifin so that was out of the question . Plus It messed with my mood swings really bad . With my being bipolar.. smh.. wasn't helpful.
I was lucky that since the implant was put in I've not had a period but I still get a bit moody and get some painful cramps.....I forgot to mention that I had awful mood swings leading up to and during the first couple of days of my periods....I was extra lucky with the implant as the last time I had it it sent my moods all over the place and gave me terrible migraines so after 6 months I had it out (it was put in about 2 months after my daughter was born tho so hormones were completely all over the place!) This time tho it seems to of helped although the doctor did say that it could go several ways - my periods could stop altogether - my normal cycle could continue - I could continuously spot - I could continuously have a period
I have stopped having periods but I occasionally spot for a day or two
Westrengirl hopefully now you won't have any more pain from it now you've had the surgery
I wouldn't say I'm allergic to ibuprofen but I am definitely intolerant to it and any other drug from that family including naproxen and diclofenic! Sounds like ibuprofen completely messes with you 😞 unfortunately not everything works for everyone!
Hi sezzy and westerngirl, This app hasn't been working for me so sorry for such a late reply! Thank you I actually started me first period in 3 months yesterday so that's good I suppose! I'm going to keep a diary of all the symptoms I get😊
@Sezzy. When I went to my follow up s few days ago my doc said that since I still have my ovaries I'll get the same symptoms as if I am going to have my periods. But I look at it this way . At less no mess 🤗🤗
I am happy to hear the implant is working for you. I prey it continues. 🤗🤗 ((Gentle hugs))
