Wondering if anyone thinks their chronic pain is linked to drug use in their youth. I've been told exposure to chemicals and drug use can change the brain.. not sure how much research there is into it but it is something i think about a lot. I feel that i really am being punished for stupid thing i did not thinking of the consequences
It's true that chemical exposure & recreational pharmaceuticals can change the brain & not usually for the better. Having said that, I have never indulged. I have Fibromyalgia & Osteoarthritis. There are probably many others here who also suffer and have never done street drugs. There's plenty of people who did/do drugs & don't suffer with chronic pain. You're probably like most of us, no one knows why we suffer.
I've never done street drugs, but 2 siblings did. We all share some common medical conditions but not all. I'm actually the unhealthiest, with too many conditions from autoimmune to spine to 2 genetic defects. I joke and tease that my parents genes were worn out by the time they created me, the youngest of 5 pregnancies (1 miscarriage). There's possibly more truth in that than anyone even realizes. Sure our actions might have impacts on our future health, like me not drinking enough milk in my younger years & now being osteopenic, or falling flat of my back from a tall slide (broke leg & likely started some spine issues). Who really knows what might be found without heavy research on all chronic pain patients. Hugs love & prayers! 🙂💕🙏🌸
