MRI

Feb 23, 2015 7:56 PM

Headed in for an MRI of my brain in the morning. Hoping they find something. And really hoping I'm not left with a throbbing headache for days Afterward.

Good luck . Will be praying you have a night free of pain and after the MRI that it won't trigger a headache.God Bless

Thanks weezie
I'm hoping I fall asleep soon. I always worry I won't wake up in time when I need to be somewhere early and end up not sleeping well.

Best wishes Aliya!! Isn't kinda weird how we hope for tests to find things wrong with us, just so we can have a diagnosis? Sweet dreams! Good mornings! Gentle hugs! And pain free (as much as possible) days!

Good Luck, Aliya. I hope that they find something that can be repaired, treated or most importantly cured. Either way, I hope that your outcome is a good one and that you dont have to suffer like you said for days afterwards. I will be praying for you. I'll Be right there with you in spirit and helping you to relax. Keep us all posted on how things are going.

Ugh. Woke up in so much stiff burning pain this morning. Really wish I could get a chiropractic adjustment before needing to lay still. Oh well. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Praying you'll get answers from this test Aliya.

Brain MRI was soooooo much easier than the cervical and lumbar MRIs. So fast. Plus more comfortable because I had both earplugs and over ear headphones and asked for an extra pillow under my legs.
Really glad I don't have to wait long for results. I see the neurologist tomorrow.

Feb 24, 2015 10:17 AM

Aliya, I hope all works out for you. Keep us posted as to what the doctor says.

I didn't realize how disappointed I would be to be told I don't have MS. Or any other neurological conditions.
I spent the entire day for two doctor apointments and feel like they were a complete waste of time. The only thing to come from them is that I should go see a rheumatologist.

Plus I was at a neurologist who specializes in headaches so I really expected some answers or at least a road to travel down for addressing my constant headache. But no. I feel unheard.

Aliya, I'm so sorry. I know "not knowing" is the worst. Having a name for "it" is vital to each of us. Maybe you could get a second opinion. The reason I say that is because my neurologist told me that even if my (upcoming) lumbar puncture comes back negative, its not 100% proof against MS, because sometimes it takes years to develop enough symptoms to show positive on tests. He mentioned sending me to a MS specialist north of us, just because (he said) I have many MS symptoms. A second opinion can't hurt. As for the headaches,my pain specialist helped most with them.

A friend with ms did tell me to get an ms specialist. And the neurosurgeon's PA told me it does really sound like MS and that sometimes it doesn't show in an MRI. and she told me to expect a long road.

Feb 25, 2015 6:55 PM

Yep, exactly what I was told; a long road.

I think my hubby is worried I will die in a few years. I'm not. I don't think I have something that will kill me. Just something that will drive me insane not knowing.

Feb 25, 2015 7:07 PM

I know that! My husband grabbed my hand last week and said, "Don't you go and die on me!". Bless him 💑

Feb 25, 2015 7:23 PM

The doctors today were talking about auto immune disease. Driving home he solemnly asked when my dad was diagnosed with the one he had. Then calculated how long until he died. Poor husband.
