Does anyone experience muscle twitches? There are times when I will literally start shaking, I call it my Parkinson’s affect, this is more severe on my right side, but it affects left side just as much.
The past 8 or 9 months I have been having muscle twitches that are consistent with simple partial seizures with motor symptoms (currently undiagnosed). When these episodes happen it feels like a jolt of electricity goes through an arm or leg and then that limb will jerk outwards suddenly.
I get this too, also more predominately on my right side. I always figure it was a side effect of the nerve damage. It doesn't shake but there are noticeable twitches. Have you ever gotten those twitches if your eye lid? It's like that but happens on my right calf mostly. I also get cramps/spasms in the same area that can be very painful and I was told those are also a symptom of the nerve damage. The twitches are weird but not painful to me.
I get lots of muscles spasms and twitches yeah and some weird vibration tingly sensation thing in my chest (not my heart). I also get muscle fatigue shaking when I overuse my left leg where I have nerve irritation. They can be pretty disconcerting hey.
Interesting... I don't take Elavil but take gabapentin 300 MG 3 times a day and benadryl on a regular basis. I've taken benadryl for years and predates the muscle twitches by far but the gabapentin might make sense for me. I'll have to speak to my doctor about it.
Tranquility, Benadryl can manage some symptoms of parkinson's disease such as muscle twitches and tremors. It is rare for Benadryl to be used for muscle twitches and tremors because there is a lack of good quality clinical trials.
I wonder if Benadryl could be a tool to reduce my Xanax dose? It’s only .5 at bedtime but I’d like to stop taking it nightly and switch to as needed for anxiety attacks. However, Withdrawal is a curse. Any thoughts, anyone?
