My Eyes

Sep 22, 2015 12:10 PM

This is goi g to sound really strange but I have to ask if anyone else is dealing with this nightmare of a problem. I have always had small issues with my eyes but now, I blink and then everything is cloudy. I get stuff in the corner of my eye, take a tissue to get it off and a big, long string pulls out. I get it in BOTH eyes. Several times a day with these long strings that come out of my eyes. It starts in the corner and goes across the top (or bottom) and then across the other way. I've gotten them as long as 4-6 inches. I know it sounds gross and it's weird. I just wanted to check and see if anyone else had this experience. The doctor said that I have dry eyes. Anyone?

I have cloudiness in my eyes and I am pulling stuff out but not sure if it's anything like that. I am currently on my way to an eye DR's appointment maybe I can ask and see if knows what it maybe if you like. I haven't had my eye's checked in 2 years so its over due since I'm 37 with bi facial's.

That would be fabulous!!! I'm pretty sure it's like a mucus. It comes out in thin (sometimes thick) clear strings. I really appreciate the offer. Thanks so much. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}. Good luck at the eye doctor.🌻🙏🏻

Ok Always, I sorry it took sooo long to get back with but they did the eye diolation and Glaucoma test one it took forever for my eyes to get back to normal lol. Anyway she said that it is dry eye's and you could have some allergies going on, try some artificial tears and it should help you out or they have eye drops for allergies try that and see if that don't stop it, give it about a week on eye drops for allergies before you could see a difference. Hope that helped! Gental Hugs and Prayer's! Keep me posted on if that worked for you. 🙏💕

Moparmom, thank you so very much for asking the doctor about my eye problem. That was so kind of you. I am going to get some eye drops and see if that helps me. I will give it a week or two to see if it works. Again, thanks so very much. Sending {{{Hugs}}} back to you. I hope you have a restful night and light pain.🌻🙏🏻

Alwayz, I agree with Mopar, definetly sounds like allergies and dry eye, especially with the mucous.

Anytime Alwayz! You have been very helpful when I needed advice and I was already on my way to an eye appointment, so it was perfect timing. I pray the drops work out.

AlwayZ, I use to get a thin film over my eyes and the doc said it was allergy related. Now I have Sjogrens and I wish I had any fluid in my eyes, allergies or not! Lol The sjogrens makes my eyes feel gritty and my eyes stick to the eyelids. I hope you can find out why, and that it's no big issue! (((Hugs))) & prayers. 🙏🌼

Flappsy, the more I think about how my eyes are feeling, I think I may also have sjogrens. They feel like I have sand in them and they get a film over them as well. I now have sores on my tongue. I know I didn't burn it so I don't know where they came from. I think I'm morphing into you... LOL!!! We really must be sisters from another lifetime. Many times in the morning, I can't swallow, when I try to open my eyes they feel like they're scraping across my eyelids. I guess I'm just falling apart. It's a beautiful day and I feel like shit!!! I think I'll go to the local stables and get my hands on some horses. I hope you are having a peaceful day my friend. You're in my thoughts and my prayers. 💕🙏🏻🌻 {{{{Hugs}}}}

Lol AlwayZ, we're disjoined twins! I get tiny white bumps all in my mouth and on the tongue. When they're appearing they are also stinging. They usually go away within a few days, just as my thrush starts up again. I googled sjogrens oral rash pictures, and that's how I knew without a doubt the bumps were sjogrens (before they did the biopsy). I also get cracks in the top of my tongue. My mouth, nose, & throat stays dry. It's very hard to swallow sometimes until I get a sip of water. And I wake with dry, red eyes, with dry flakes of eye drops in my lashes.

Oops, I hope you enjoyed the horses! I'm doing fairly good, less tired. 🌼

Flappsy, I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. I have noticed with the sores on my tongue get splits. When they finally heal up, I have scars all over my tongue and when the sores return, they are where the scars are. It hurts like hell and I hate it. Thanks for the well wishes!! 💕🙏🏻🌻
