Is the popping in the leg socket or is it in your tailbone area? I have Sacroiliac joint issues and if I lay on my back doing leg lifts they move out of place, popping and painful. πŸ˜·πŸ™πŸŒΌ

And pain hip front of thigh on and off

Jan 10, 2016 8:18 PM

You probably have SI joint issues. And the hip socket can hurt in the front or back (buttock) according to my Ortho nurse. My hip sockets have started popping while walking, over the past 6 months. Sometimes it feels like pain shoots down the front of my thigh. It doesn't happen often but when it does, whoa! I use Voltaren gel and heat to help with any pain. But I've also had to get steroid injx for bursitis, both shoulders, knees & hips. I oppose you can find out the cause, that it's nothing serious, and find relief. Hugs & prayers! πŸ˜·πŸ™πŸŒΌ

I've had front thigh pain for over a year. It's awful. Not able to stand or sit oir bend my leg without feeling like its being cut in half... Michelled is ur joint coming out the socket? Or just being noisy

Jan 10, 2016 8:21 PM

Being noisy i think its not a debilitating pain when i lift more of a sensation and pop

Jan 10, 2016 8:23 PM

Oh..is there an alternative move or mostion u can do sonu don't have to feel that? Or be concerned bout any damage

Jan 10, 2016 8:23 PM

And after sitting on my big butt it hurts

Jan 10, 2016 8:25 PM

It may be slightly out of place. If it starts hurting get it checked out.

Hi michelled1971, sorry to hear your having issues, I have Sacroilitis and am actually having a major flare since just before Christmas, I normally have pain in my bum area 24/7 from this but when it flares whooooa . I have. What I can only describe as a belt 12" wide with knifes facing inwards that have been heated to branding temperature that sits around my pelvis. It has electrodes that give an almighty shock in my thighs, pelvis, groin, hips, bum and lower back plus a constant feeling of being pulled beyond all possible tension in my ligament's and tendons. Its also like the bands get stuck and then nif laying or moving a certain way it snaps across with the most almighty crack and what feels like my insides have jumped a good inch or more.I can't lay on my back or raise my legs when laying or sitting its just like the area cannot take the weight and has no strength. I have become a walking cereal with all the snap, crackle and pops my body makes. I have a lot of other issues pain wise in my back and joints but this one is the one that has rendered me unable to walk outside more than a few feet at a time, I use a wheelchair outdoors and a rolator in the home. This is just within the last year of being diagnosed. I wake up every morning with what I can only describe as millions of mini workmen with pneumatic drills in my thighs in the effected side (left is worse than right) it actually hurts a little less if I lay on the worse side . I lay like a stranded upturned tortoise every time I try to get out of bed ( hubbie is well adept and yanking me upright lol) . to me its the worst pain out of all the conditions I have and there is a few. At the moment I'm popping naproxin and metacarbamol like they are sweeties and still rest is the only thing which helps a little. Im already on regular meds of slow release morphine and lyrica for other pains but nothing seems to make a vast difference with this one. I recommend ice packs or a good quality cold gel, anti inflammatories, rest for 48 hours if possible then slow movements but I'm afraid it won't settle to its regular roar until it wants to. Also the degenerative disc disease in my lumber spine snd the sacral pain means I start off upright or near as damn upright but after a few feet I'm bent over to nearly 90 degree angle. Good job I love looking at peoples shoes 😁 I hope they can help you with your pain and symptoms hun, sacroiliac joint injections work for some. Take care, rest when possible, eat well, get some ice on your back hun but most of all listen to what your body is telling you , no prizes for pushing yourself to far. gentle hugs 🌼

Lol thank you i am laying on ice as we speak! I start sore by end of the dat sometimes horrible the thigh pain driving me crazy tonight I tried to get my husbant to massage that spot in my booty :) but of course he fell 😴 lol oh well tommorow will be a different symptom pain!

Jan 10, 2016 10:15 PM

Lol alright for some sleeping at this time of night what is the world coming to 😜stick your foot out from under the covers and then put it on him somewhere and when he rouses from his land of nod get in there with the massage request :) hope the ice helps soon hun , as you say come later today there will be something new to occupy your body and brain. Maybe you should start a betting circle as to where its gonna hurt the next day, I'm thinking of doing the very same , need to get the pennies somehow . how about a pin the plaster on the body cut out instead of pin the tail on the donkey ☺

Michelled, I don't know if I understand your problem or not but when it came to having pain on the tailbone, there was no way I could lay flat. I fell off a ladder 20 feet and landed on my bum but they said nothing was wrong with my back. But at the time they didn't do an MRI. I just couldn't sit for a year. No kIdding. But I find that laying on my side with a couple of pillow between the legs relieves a lot of pain. It was better then pain medicine.

Jan 11, 2016 4:46 AM

Profiler i actually slept with pillows between myself knees last night and it does bot hurt as bad in middle of night

Jan 11, 2016 4:49 AM

Good, I am really happy to hear that.

Jan 11, 2016 5:02 AM

I've actually been sleeping with a bolster under my knees for almost a year but I've been using to to suppt my right thigh and knees. The pressure was very uncomfortable if I layed it straight but as time goes on I'm noticing that my hips are beginning to need the support too

Jan 11, 2016 8:19 AM

It isnt really bad at night for me when im laying sore in morning by dinner time im in such pain but you can tell it feels better pressure with it

Jan 11, 2016 8:25 AM

Michelle, definitely sounds like SI joint issues to me as well. I notice that I can't lay flat on my back with it anymore. Lying face down or on my side with that leg propped up on pillows does help for me. And I have learned that the SI joint injections only work for a few months and they hurt like the dickens to have done(had mine in September, just now wearing off on the right side).

Jan 11, 2016 8:28 AM

Oh ty amanda i need some encouragement bad anxiety day

Jan 11, 2016 12:04 PM

I came across this site while researching the pros and cons of SI joint fusions. My Ortho doc suggested it several years ago, but I'm not sure.

Jan 11, 2016 7:10 PM

Flappys, I've been debating about asking my ortho and then thought better about it. He's an ass and I don't want him touching me with a 10 foot pole, let alone surgically. So I'm inclined to do nothing with it right now.

Jan 12, 2016 3:27 AM

Although some people benefit from surgical intervention on SI joint issues many have said fusion of that joint has left them in more pain than yo begin with, make sure you search all info and stats on different options available. I'm due for so joint and facet joint injections and am still hesitant if I am honest as its bad enough now let alone if something doesn't suit but to me its going slightly in favour of hoping it will be better and will last a while and not just a limited relief timeframe. Everyone is so different even if the symptoms are the same so the results are varied on what will work for you. Good luck and hope they can get on top of the pain for you, I know myself its not fun. Xx

Jan 12, 2016 11:36 AM

Cnan, that has been my biggest fear, knowing the SI joints are suppose to move, and wondering if I'll end up with more pain. That's what keeps holding me back. And I'm really worried I have something wrong with the hip socket that needs to be checked first. Thanks for your thoughts! πŸ˜·πŸ™πŸŒΌ
