My pains really bad tonught. What do i do?

Jan 02, 2017 4:45 AM

So i have a really bad back. There is a long list of things wrong.
My pain is almost unbearable.
I've tried a hot bath.
I've tried my tens machine.
And nothing.. still pain.
I take palexia 100mg and lyrica 300mg.
Is it safe to maybe take another 50ml of palexia?
I'm not sure what else to do.

Also i really hope you're all feeling well in this beginning of a new year.

Do you have a heat pad? Maybe try hot then cold compresses?or a heat rub?
I'm really sorry I can't help you more but you've tried everything else. I can't comment on the palexia if it would work or not, do you have an out of hours advice line like we do here like NHS 111 (sorry can't remember the official name I can only remember the telephone number!)

Sending you positive vibes and warm healing hugs xx

Mknight, do you have any rub on pain ointment? I'd try a warm shower or bath (with Epsom salt), followed by the pointing and a heating pad or hot water bottle together. Hugs love & prayers your pain eases up soon! 🙂💕🙏🌸

I hope you are feeling better hun. One thing I have done in the past that helped is to set a towel then wrong most of the excess moisture out. I would then put it in the microwave for about three minutes. It's going to be extremely hot - so I used tongs (forget what they are called - had to look it up. Lol). I pulled the wet (very hot) towel out and put it in a zip lock baggie. Then placed the baggie on a dry towel and wrapped that towel around it.

Then put it on the painful area. Not sure why but this helped more than the hearing pad did. The heat doesn't last long though.

Switching between cold and heat also helps me. My PT gave me a recipe for making my own cold packs. I have several in my freezer and when needed I take one put, put a towel around it Then put it on the painful area.

When wrapping either of these in towels don't wrap it several times - you just need the one layer between you and the heat/cold .

Going to go see if I can find that recipe.

Try taking a hot bath in epsom salt and some lavender oil. Also CBD oil can help, I know from experience with fibromyalgia pain.
