Myofacial release therapy

Jan 15, 2017 9:01 AM

Has anyone heard of or tried this? I've been reading about it and I'm intrigued. It sounds like a deep tissue massage meant specifically for people with fibromyalgia. I'm see my rheum doc soon and want to see if I can get it covered by insurance if she prescribes it. A little (a lot) worried that it will trigger a major flare. Any thoughts?

Yeas, deep tissue massage and feels great. It does at times feel worse the next day. If you don't correct posture or work to strengthen, then it remains just a massage.
