Need advice..please

So it's my sister snd cousins bday this weekend and they are Thinking bout going to the downtown festival. Which I've always wanted to do however with fibromyalgia and now three slipped disc and a bone compression in my L5 walking for long distances is not possible . I'm saving up for a rollator but dont have it yet. So I'm considering getting a wheelchair from the rehab center. They loan them out to people in need. I've ot made the full turn towards a wheelchair but in order for me to go to the festival i feel a wheelchair is the only option other then not going at all.
What do you all think about this.?

Go for the wheelchair. If it's going to help you do something you have wanted to do there's no shame in it. And just because it might feel like overkill remember that s for this situation. I only needed crutches a while back but used a wheelchair at work because of all the moving I had to do.

Wheel chair sounds smart to me. Also, planning an exit strategy, I never go anywhere with out my own transportation and a trusted friend or family member who can drive me home early when I am ready to colapse an hour into a full day. Preferably one who will not complain and make me feel guilty for making them leave. There is nothing worse than being stranded somewhere in pain.

Get the wheelchair and go have full with your family.

Get the chair! You'll be glad you did, it will allow you to enjoy the fair a lot longer than attempting to walk.

definetly go for the chair! Then you can relax and not worry about walking.

Wheelchair for sure!👍. And like above states an exit strategy. It helps your mind be more peaceful when all avenues are covered. The more stress the more pain.

So great news about the chair. I was looking around and found the rehab center who was gonna let me borrow a wheelchair for the festival. When I got there they guy said someone just dropped this off. And it was a basically new extra wide rollator. I needed wide well because I've gotta butt.. Lol so he let me have the walker to keep. So this problem is solved.

Yes ..and I had a great time at the festival. I was able to walk elsewhere my sis and cousin went and being able to sit anywhere was so helpful. I was still covered in sweat from pain and skipping my evening dose of meds . I'm sure I'll pay for it later but it was great to be out.
