Need answer ASAP please

I saw Neurologist for the 1st time last week. He scheduled me for a Lumbar MRI and Cervical MRI but it's not until Jan 18th. Ever since last night, I feel like I pinched a nerve or something. My upper back/shoulders/neck hurt really bad and are stiff and also a headache. (This is what used to happen to me often and I would see my PCP). I'm seeing the Neurologist for something, I think, is different. I've been taking Ibuprofen and doing ice and heat off and on since last night but still in pain. Should I call my PCP or Neurologist? I'm sure I can see my PCP faster...

If you feel more comfortable, keep your appointment for the neurologist for the 18th and call your PCP today and see if you can get in. This may take some pressure off your mind and put you at ease. Sending you positive vibes, gentle {{{Hugs}}} and prayers that you get some relief and the answers you are seeking. Hang in there!!🌻🙏🏻

Your health comes first!! You are absolutely NOT going behind anyone's back. We all have "teams" of doctors and sometimes when one is not available we need to reach out to another. Please don't stress over it. 🌻🙏🏻

Thank you! That makes me feel better! I'm in waiting room at my PCP now. Who knows how long I'll have to wait since they had to "squeeze" me in.

AlwayZ is right, we do better with a team of doctors. PCPs are great for most general care, but you needed specialists on board for better results. Hugs & prayers for you! 🙂🙏🌼

You have to feel comfortable with seeing your PCP a lot, with these conditions & never feel bad about doing so...I'd get ahold of your PCP but definitely keep the Neuro appt..good luck :)
