Need help with food

Excuse my grammar, I'm from Norway.

I don't know what to do. I keep gaining weight because of my fatigue. I can not work out and some days I can't Even go for a walk. And because of pain and fatigue i often don't plan my meals. So I tend to rely on take out my boyfriend gets me, or chips and crackers. I also get sick after a meal so i dread eating. It does not matter what food i eat, i still get sick.
The problem is that i dont feel wel in my body, and i only want to wear swets because my other clothes is not comfy anymore. I also live in a dorm where we get food served, so my cookingpossibilitys are limited..

Does anyone have some tips for easy mealplanning for people with fatigue? I really don't want to get any bigger, because everything is haster then.

I don't have much advice as I am to ill to cook now but when I could I would do bigger batches of food then freeze it but as you don't have a freezer you can't do that, I would just try your best to make the best choices you can and try not to eat junk food as much as possible. I hope you figure something out 😊

@Nkaustnes. My best advice is . Can you ask for less food on your plate . My family lost a lot of weight because we slowly put less and less food on our plates and stopped snacking and drink a lot of water. I did not exercise or plan out what I was going to eat and I lost over 60 pounds .

I learnt strange things about the whole diet thing...

I do meal replacement shakes twice a day with soy milk and water; since I am a student and don't have time to cook.
And other than that I eat chicken, fish, fruit and veggies. But not potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, gluten, dairy, red meat.

I am still trying to figure out what works and what does not, but if you drink a lot of coffee.... that makes you gain a lot of weight😓

I lost a few kgs without trying, but only once I slept right🙈 as in 8 hours a night..... I need a sleeping tablet to sleep but am just thankful for the sleep because ur body cant function without it (i learnt the hard way).

@atJane shakes is a wonderful idea! And mabye i should ask for new sleepingmeds. I get a hangover of the ones i have now so i don't use them. And i do not sleep wel without.

If one type doesn't work for u or stops working, rather try something else. Especially getting your brain to shut off is difficult, and that is where medidation works. A routine helps since ur body know what happens at a certain time every single day.

I use Adco-Alzam to sleep. Hope you get well soon! Xx

coffee make you gain weight? Ya bumped your head! I'm a java junkie in my teens! the Coffeemate flavored creamers (et al) ...that would more likely to cause weight gain..
In the Bible, it says God gave us everything to eat of the earth and garden and gave specific guidelines of what meats, fish and birds were ok and not ok...That's why Noah took only two animals that were unclean and seven of clean...you can look that up..I say that as a way to get back to basics..that's one of the oldest books that explains dietary benefits that we are rediscovering...since your eating a lot of fatty foods or fast foods,
And not moving much your system is probably sluggish or slowing in any case...
This stuff sounds bad but it detoxes the body and helps your system do what it's suppose to do...
1/2 squeezed lemmon juice
(3tlbs of jar lemon)
3 TLBs each Apple Cider vinegar
1/8 tsp of tumuric or cayenne
12oz water room temperature ...
Take this in morning... it can't hurt and may help things to move again...
But until you find your voice and say look I can't eat that...if you were allergic to something say peanuts; would you eat them?

Have your boyfriend go grocery shop for healthy foods. Too much fatty foods will make you sick, here I go again I take a day and cook all day I sit on a stool it's not hard put a meal in the crock pot, start meals in oven then bag portion control freeze and portion your fruils, veggies make everything portable. So all you have to do heat and eat. No fast food it's not good. My Fibromyalgia CFS is severe so I do things in increments of time, I have bad fatigue days I usually feel best in the evening, so that's when I'll do a few things don't overdo it. The reason I do this when I first got sick I couldn't get out of bed very easy, so I went hungry, then I made sure I had crackers by the bed it got old I figured how to make my meals. You can do THIS for your Health 🤕

Kwelee, I too sit on a "bar" stool to cook and do dishes if need be and yes, life in increments... I love ratitoulli and you can get a lot of meals from that one batch. I get bags of dates, cranberries, cherries and snack on those and good to put into salads too. My biggest down fall are baked potatoes!
I'm still on the lookout how to make cabbage rolls..

-Frozen dinners can be good
-Instant noodles with rice and chopped vegetables can be delicious and nutritious
-getting either cans of soup or making one large pot of soup and freezing it for later is nice

Fruits are good but have to remember they contain natural sugars so limit the amount you eat. Nuts: almonds and walnuts are a good protein source. Have to stop eating those fast foods. Most of us can be guilty at times. Walk... inside your room if you must. 5 minutes then increase as you have the energy. I lost 100 pounds walking alone. At first I couldn't walk more than 10 minutes then had to stop. You must really want to lose weight. No one else can do it for you. You said they had food at your dorm at the least couldn't your boyfriend or you pick up some meals their in your dorm? If not... have him get you salads in fast food.good luck!🤗

I drink a vegan protein shake mix everyday. I mix it with almond milk and whatever frozen fruits I feel like that day. Sometimes 🍑 peaches. Sometimes strawberry 🍓 banana 🍌. It is an easy way to make sure I get some good nutrients in me especially if I'm busy or in a ton of pain and can't cook. As far as sleep I've used just about everything. Right now what works best for me is Doxepin. It's an antidepressant that is used for sleep. It's main thing is KEEPING you asleep at night instead of waking a million times.

Hei. Jeg skriver på norsk til deg. Forstår godt at mat er vanskelig når du har fatigue. Jeg er i samme situasjon. Jeg forstod ikke helt det du skrev at du bodde et sted hvor du får all mat, men allikevel kjøper take away mat.
Som tips kan jeg jo si at take away også tilbyr sunnere typer mat , det MÅ ikke være pizza og kebab. Raske karbohydrater øker cravings på nye raske karbohydrater. Om du bor på et rom kan du lete på finn.no etter små kjøleskap, kjøpe inn sunt snacks, knekkebrød og salater og oppbevare der. Personlig vil jeg på det varmeste anbefale et kumelk- og glutenfritt kosthold da det har mye å si for en kronisk tilstand å ikke tilføre kroppen de to giftstoffene. Melk er fett og gluten er lim, sammen er de gift for en syk kropp. Lykke til og bare spør om du vil ha mer veiledning på kosthold.😉
