Need nerve block injections but can't afford

Oct 04, 2017 4:37 PM

Hi all.... I'm new here, wondering if anyone else has trouble paying for treatment? I'm on my husband's insurance but steep deductible. I was just diagnosed with significant arthritis of the spine and I also believe I have Fibromyalgia. I had a hysterectomy at age 33 from endometriosis. So doc is recommending nerve block injections for back but they won't do them until I pay $250 deductible! I had to quit work because of pain.and in no way can afford $250. Suggestions? I just want to be pain free without having to take 800mg ibuprofen that only lasts a.couple hrs. At best.

Wish I had advice for you! I'm new to this back pain problem. They found arthritis on my spine too! I'm only 36....
I'm seeing the doc on Friday and can let you know what they suggest for treatment for me.
Best of luck!

Are you affiliated with a church or anything like that? Sometimes they set money aside for people in situations like yours.
Do some research too before you pay all that money for the injections. I've heard that they don't always help :(
