Jun 09, 2016 9:57 PM

As i retired from the military the dentist said i had Geographic toungue syndrome. I have cold sores/fever blisters on my lips. Usually valtrex controls the outbreak. But i did not get the dosGe fast enough. I need home remedy for terrible mouth pain. I feal like my tounge is being eaten by acid saliva. This is not tooth ache is more like mouth full of bleeding ulcers

Ice cream is cooling and lets face i do not need a reason to eat it. But it only helps for a few seconds. For dinner i had a cheese calzone with a tall glass of milk. No red sauce.

Ouch! Been there from sjogrens blisters. My doc gave me lidocaine oral rinse that I can swish around. Can you get some of it from doc or dentist? It helps numb it. Hugs & prayers you get some relief soon! 🙂💕🙏🌼

Or what about even some of those cough drops that numb the throat? Frankly, I find my whole mouth goes numb from them. Might be worth a try if you can't get the Mouth rinse.

Children's liquid benedryl makes your gums and tongue numb, works great topically for teething. Not sure how it would feel on open sores because of the alcohol. Clove oil on a Q-tip also has numbing properties but again it will probably burn for a few on an open sore. Also the clove oil has natural antiseptic properties. I know a dentist that has patients use clove oil when they have toothaches that happen on the weekend. Make sure to use an applicator because you do not want to numb your throat completely.

Use anti septic mouthwash at least twice a day n they will disapear.

With sjogrens I was told to avoid any mouthwash like Listerine or Scope, and toothpaste with it in it.
