Neuropsychologist Scam?

May 02, 2016 8:09 PM

Trying to fill out the paperwork & I smell a scam. First page emphasizes in underlined BOLD they bill $150/hr at time of service for 8-10 hrs for the eval. or its sent immediately to collection. I live on $733/mo. WTF? They're asking for five past and current employers. A thick packet of irrelevant info they're going to bill at $150/hr to transcribe ... Am I crazy? I sincerely doubt Medicare will pay for this. Thoughts?

Sounds like a scam to me. No one needs that much information for any reason. Have you googled the company etc.?

I did and there were no visible reviews.
My past caregiver who remembers (unlike me) my med history, diagnosis's & personal... Also said SCAM. Don't go there. So I'm calling to cancel & they don't say there's a penalty for that. I hope! It would be "blood from a turnip" anyway.

That sounds totally wrong! Cancel and ask your doc to refer you. 🙂💕🙏🌼

Read directions to their office, it says: "Right next door to Les Schwab Tire Center". Lol

They'll probably try to Bill. Saving paperwork jik.

If they try to bill you, report them!!!
Doesn't sound real! Why 8 to 10 hours, I have met NO ONE who would spend that much time. I had an entire pain team (about 10 people) for a couple hours, but everyone has more to do, more people to treat. I've had a neuro, normal physiologist, and pain specialized psychiatrist, but 8 hours for an evaluation is not gonna happen if they actually serve more than 5 people.
