I'm new here and just getting started. Diagnosed with fibromyalgia 4 years ago but I've had it a lot longer. Seeing a new rheumatologist next week, so hopefully she'll rework my meds. I have all the classic symptoms plus some other issues going on.

Welcome to the family. You'll learn that all of us here are very much like a family. Feel.free to ask any questions or concerns you may have. Any ideas or whatever. We are fun loving and a little odd at times. But just enough to keep things interesting. I look forward to hear more from you. Again welcome

Welcome Buckeye to our group. As already stated it is a great place for support. It is a nice place to come when your family or friends don't understand chronic pain and cannot offer you the empathy and understanding that you need. If you need to talk, you just need to make a post and let us know how you feel and what is going on. Some like to ask about different procedures others have had done, so they will not worry so much about their upcoming procedure. Others will like to ask what others have found helpful for their diagnosis. It is a well rounded support group. Best wishes to you.

Thanks everyone for making me feel so welcome! I had my appointments mixed up. I saw the infectious disease doctor Tuesday. I was in the hospital in Nov for pneumonia and a bad infection in my lung. I had a bronchoscopy, a biopsy of a spot in my lung, and a biopsy of lymph nodes that are enlarged. The spot turned out to be a fungal ball, and the lymph nodes are just inflamed. So I have to be on an anti-fungal drug for 3 to 6 months, and I have to get blood work done every week to make sure it isn't harming my liver.

On another note, I'd like to ask all the praying women to pray for my family and me today.

Thank you!!!

Welcome to our family because that what it feels like with this group of women and men. We all go thru pain, suffering, depression, anxiety etc. You name it and probably somebody has gone thru it themselves. We are also a group who love to laugh and make jokes to keep our spirits up during very hard times. Most importantly you will find plenty of us who believe in the power of prayer (men and women). I have only been on here a month and it feels like I have known everyone forever. I will be praying for you and your family.
