From what i have gathered so far it seems like a dump diagnosis. Kinda like a doctor saying "you have an infection" the truth is they dont know exactly what is wrong. they have done many tests and they have mostly come back negative so they cant locate a cause for the many symptoms you suffer. (there are a lot and some are mild while others can leave you crippled with pain) It seems like they just say well we dont know what it is so we will call it fibromyalgia
I may be wrong but thats how i feel. was only diagnosed 16th May but as i say i have suffered for 11 years now. 😣
Migranes anxiety depression pain at base of skull pain in lower neck pain in shoulders spinal pain lower back pain pain in right elbow constant pins and needles in left arm vomiting ibs testicular torsion pain in both knees but predominantly in the right week right ankle. numbness in intervals across the body burning feet (like really hot as if they are on fire) electrifying skin (when youched even lightly) exhaustion fatigue confusion ocular hypertension

Thanks for the welcome sorry to hear of your pain. Its hard living with a chronic pain problem that also makes it difficult to get out etc Socialising whats that? If you ever just want someone to talk to or to rant with im here. Would be nice to have someone to talk to. 😊
V3--suggest a book by Dr. Liptan "The Fibro Manual". Fibro has its own set of symptoms with specific cause--hyperreactive nerves from abnormalities in Central Nerve System. Tests are being developed that point to a specific cause that will make diagnosis easier. It is no longer a "dump" catchall type diagnosis. Have not done justice to fibro as a diagnosis in its own right. Highly recommend the book. I am sorry that you have to have this. I share your pain, literally.
I have been up all night in pain and always have trouble sleeping. Had my fibromyalgia symptoms for around 10 years but really kicked off bad after my first shoulder dislocation, since then had 32 left shoulder dislocations and 4 surgeries and the rest is history, hopefully not a future of pain! Hope your all ok :)
