New here and in major flare

Nov 22, 2015 6:32 PM

Hello all.. I'm new here... I'm a working mom to 2 little boys.. My 10 year old is Autistic.. I go non stop most days.. I've been in a bad flare for about 2 weeks now.. My lower back pain and Costochondritis are my worst symptoms with other different symptoms that change almost daily.. I can feel myself heading for a melt down soon and im trying so hard to avoid it.. When I melt down it tends to be nuclear.. Today was the icing on the cake so to speak.. Went shopping for Turkey Day fixings and dropped a 2 litre of Pepsiof Pepsi right on my big toe.. Now my whole foot is hurting and swollen.. I'm hoping to find some good people and good support here ☚

MominpIn, first I would like to welcome you to our community family. I give you a lot of credit to be working and taking care of your children having such painful diagnosis. Having the same problems along with a laundry list of other diseases, I understand your struggle. As far as having a meltdown, you have come to a safe forum where there will never be anyone who will judge you for doing so. This is a family of wonderful, close knit, compassionate and understanding people. We are all here for different diagnosis But have one commanality and that is chronic, irretractable pain. We "get it" when you are at the end of your rope but there will always be someone day or night (no matter the hour) to give you some of their rope to hold you up. We all are here to take care of one another and help each other through the bad times and to celebrate erg you through the good times. I hope that you find the love, support and understanding that you are needing in your life. I am sending you gentle {{{{Hugs}}}} and prayers that you have a peaceful slumber and wake to a better Monday with less pain. Hang in there and again, welcome aboard.💕🙏ðŸŧðŸŒŧ😊

Hey mom! This is a good group. We are hear to read (listen) and try to be of help and supportive. Sounds like you burn the candle all over. Anything you may be able to cut down on or give up?

Mominpain, if you are looking for a good support group, you have come to the best one. This support group is truly based on empathy. If someone does not know what you are going through, We take the time to truly imagine what it would like to be in your situation. With that in mind, we try to offer support and encouragement. We try to offer the words you need when you need them. Sometimes we know you just need someone to listen and that is what we are here for to. Just know that we are here listening to you when you think that no one around is listening. All of us know what is like to be in extreme pain and to be exhausted with it at the same time. We have all been there. Our goal is just to be there for each other when the other needs it. We hope we can be there for you.

Thank you for the warm welcomes ☚I actually love my job.. Im passionate about it and I love that I have a reason to get up and get out of the house every day.. I worked really hard for my promotion to my position I have now.. And i have made some wonderful and truly amazing friends.. Most of them are amazingly understanding of the issues I deal with too.. We are dealing with some issues with my son lately so that has upped the stress considerably.. My husband takes great care of us and takes care of the kids and the house.. I know how lucky I am even on the worst day.. Unfortunately luck and love doesn't take away the intractable and never ending pain 😑

Mominpain, hi and welcome. I've only been on a short time myself but have been struck by the love and nonjudgmental attitudes of the people here. I have not seen any bad things said by people who post regularly. I am humbled by the strength and compassion of everyone I have encountered. This is a special place and I am blessed to have found it. {{{{{pain family}}}}}

Welcome Mominpain, albeit belatedly! I was out of town over the weekend and I'm still trying to catch up on posts. I've had chronic back pain since the 90's & Costochondritis for about 10 years. They really are overwhelming at times. I hope the swelling in your foot has gone down, or better yet cleared up. Keep icing if it hasn't. I can't use ice directly but rice in a knotted tube sock, frozen or microwaved is awesome... not too hot, not too cold! I hope you have also been able to catch some down time, to relax and de-stress. Holidays are stressful on their own. (((Hugs))) & prayers your pain will lessen through the rest of the week! 🙏🌞

Welcome to the family and I hope we can offer you the best advice we can and all the comfort that you need.
