I'm sorry for you! Hopefully you can find good professional help. Meditation/mindfulness may help. I know someone who rated all her activities, gave them a few points (cleaning toilet is 2 points, having dinner with friends 10) and then knows how many points she has for every day. My own experience in addition to this is that you have to make choices and take good care of yourself. And ask for help! Good luck.

I would request a referral to a rheumatologist or pain specialist from your GP. The Paintoolkit is very good - don't get the app it's crap but the website is definitely worth a try. Keep on top of your meds. Hot baths with Epsom salts are a godsend. Write a list of all the things you need to do, prioritise the most important and stick it on your fridge or a place you will look at regularly. My friend told me to get a journal and write stuff in there to remind me - I forgot to check the damn thing! 😂 Tens machines are good, definitely worth a try.

The best thing I can say is give yourself a break. Be kind to yourself - fibromyalgia is a bitch. Love yourself and give yourself time.

Hope some of that helps!

Take care

Love Hayley x

You are at the point that my niece was at. Her doc made her go gluten free. She rarely has bouts now.

I was told to have a high veggie diet and cut out carbs and added sugars but it's really hard to do...

I used to have really bad brain fog and fatigue and the only thing that helped was a gluten free diet. It sucks because I LOVE bread but definitely worth it.

Halfpint, I'm sorry you're going through this. Everyone had already given good advice. It takes most of us trial & errors of trying different things to find what helps us. Each of us are different and no one treatment plan plan is the answer to all of us. Be willing to try different things. Track your symptoms and trial treatment/reactions to them. Eventually you will get a better group on your days. I tried cutting carbs and gluten but it didn't affect me, but cutting out junk food (chips, pretzels etc) & sweet treats has. As for the brain fog issues, notes everywhere can help. I stopped using a notepad because like others is forget to check it. Instead I put it in my phone calendar like an appointment, with alarms to get me to look. Hugs love & prayers you can find some relief soon! 🙂❤🙏🌼

Hi ,I had a chat with my brother and he suggested I start a pain and food diary. I have signed up to my pain companion app ,and log in my pain , but also keep a track of food, drinks, excercises, emotions , etc. It’s a simple thing to keep track off and excellent idea.I get pain mainly on left side of body, sometimes right, but ,I don’t have IBS symptoms or headaches. I am still puzzled by why I have Fibro, as I have have been very active all my life and have a healthy diet.My rheumatologist suggested the only thing that can manage the pain is exercise,so I make sure I keep active as I allways have. I also have been practicing meditation along with exercises ( more than 10 years now) and find both seem to help enormously. Give it a try , it might also help with managing your pain. 😎

Sorry to hear about your struggle. I also struggle with fibro. Look up the spoon theory for fibro. Pamper yourself when necessary and be patient with your body. Its trying its best. Namaste’

Hi, you need to know about post exertion malaise. When you do stuff it doesn’t hurt for up to 72 hours later! This means you can think you’re fine, do more stuff, and then do nothing but feel like you’ve been hit by a bus! Learn your kick back times by using this app or some other way of tracking activity vs pain, and check up to three days before any bad flare ups.
