Blessed, I am here to welcome you to our family community. I am sorry that you are having such a painful issue with your cervical spine. I have severe issues with my own but have no plates. I've had laminotomies and laminectomies from C1-C7 and I had a neurostimulator implant that was revised surgically 5 times and with all the wires and scar tissue and disc damage and bone bone, there is nothing further they can do for my neck. I'm actually scared to have the fusion done because I have RSD/CRPS and everywhere I've had surgery (I've had 29 procedures due to DDD and DJD), it has settled in and caused more pain issues than I can tolerate. There are wonderful people here in our family community of pain warriors that are a wealth of information. I have learned much about my own issues along with other things I have never heard of. We are all here to support one another and are always here when you need to vent or chat or ask questions or advice. It doesn't matter the day or the hour, someone is always around. I hope that you settle in and find the answers, support and comradery that we all share here. Oh, there is a wonderful member of our family that I believe does have a cervical plate and her name is TerriiRulesNotMyPain and she's an outstanding human being. I've been blessed to have made many close friends here and the community has been a Godsend. So welcome aboard, chat with us, laugh with us, have some fun with us.. I wish you all the best in your quest to find the answers to your pain. {{Hugs}}🌻🙏🏻

Welcome Blessed! I had two neck surgeries, in 1992 & 1995, with C4-C7 fused with titanium plate and screws. I've had pain since but over the past five years it's worsened. My discs above and below are collapsing and degenerating. I've developed bulges, facet stenosis, tears, and other problems throughout my spine. I treated developing daily headaches in 2011, and went through epidural steroid injections to block the nerve pain, all down my spine. I just started getting headaches and sciatica in October, but not daily yet. Have you seen a pain specialist? It could be beneficial to your continued pain. They use different techniques besides ESI's. Hugs & prayers as you search for relief and answers! 🙂💕🙏🌼

I have C3/4 severely compromised due to degeneration, had to have rods and plate at C6/7 incomplete injury along with T7/8. Then my L3-S1 were congenital spinal stenosis which are now fully compressed, but because of my spinal cord injuries the L-S Sections have no effect pain wise but they still have to be monitored, in case they actually decide to do a triple fusion, but I've held off as I've had so much surgery, I see no point as I'm quadriplegic....😂😊
