New pain gel DEXTRO/KETO 10/10%

Feb 03, 2018 4:12 PM

We ran across a new speed gel named above for external use that really seems to help with pain. It's non habit forming. Anyone else heard or used this? I'm writing this because it has been a God send for us.

I will have to look this up! Thanks

What type of pain does it help with? Topical, neurological, musculoskeletal? This is intriguing.

The pharmacist explained it as one of the Robitussin DM molecules that didn't work as intended but does help on pain receptors. It is in the opioid family but for external use only. My wife and I suffer from different kinds of cronic back pain and we both get relief from it. I thought it was a miracle given the hyper sensitive nature of pain management under the national opioid pull back. Thought someone might what to look into this further.

It doesn't get the real deep damaged areas but does help with the muscles and on knots and relaxing spasm areas.

This is sold in several countries as Oruvail. It is no longer available in Canada, unfortunately.

We had to go to a compounding pharmacy. Keto is one of the two main ingredients but it's the dextro that is the primary pain reliever

I don't think this is sold in England either as ketoprofen has a greater chance of adverse effects so they prescribe or give either ibuprofen (pill or gel) , naproxen (pill only) or diclofenac (pill or gel). They only give keto to certain groups of people with certain conditions here.
Could you please also tell me what the dextro component is? As oruvail is a combination of ketoprofen ( an NSAID) and 2-propionoic acid ( a COX inhibitor)
Is this gel ketoprofen and dextrometorphan?
