New person to this.

I'm new to this app, but I thought seeing as I'm keeping a diary I may as well join in on the community bit too.

I'm in the uk, 33yr old single mum of 2. I've just had my 2nd spinal operation with more in the pipe line.
I'm not sure what I'll be able to contribute to your community, but have been living the life of pain for 7 years now, and gained some extra conditions along the way.

I don't really know what to expect from this kind of thing as not done it before and have kept myself quite isolated, however I think it's time that changed.

Anyways, I just thought I'd say hi to you all.

Welcome to our community family iowgirl. This is a safe place to come and vent, cry, get support, get prayers, find out new ideas to help with pain, share a few laughs, etc. We don't all have the same diagnoses but we all understand chronic pain. I'm sorry to hear about your spine issues. Mine started in 1992 with surgery following a herniated disc, and another in 1995. I now have various spine issues to to bottom. I'm in PT now for a cervical disc that's pushing backwards in my spinal column. I have lots of new issues since 2007 and can no longer work. But joining this community has helped me both emotionally and physically. So many have shared ideas I've tried, some worked & others didn't. Having fibromyalgia has been a challenge because while pain makes me not want to move, moving is what keeps me mobile and more limber. I hope as you begin to read you will find things that might be helpful to you. And I'm sure you have experience and ideas that may help others as well. Hugs & prayers as you settle in! 🙂💕🙏🌼

Hi Bec, great to have you here. I'm from near Bristol and I'm 36, I have pre-existing juvenile spinal conditions, but my main thing is I have an SCI(Spinal cord injury) which left me quadriplegic. I hope your surgery has given you better quality of life!😊

I just joined today too. Just been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Dr wants me to keep and pain and sleep diary. I am also from the UK and looking for advice and people who can relate about my illness. I currently don't know anyone with Fibromyalgia. Hope everyone has a great and hopefully pain free weekend.

Hello IowGirl and Bec, welcome to the app & the group. I have learned a lot here already & I was a silent member for a time to learn a bit about the community and keep people straight in my head.I connect with what you said about not knowing anyone with fibro. I don't have it, as far as I know. Bec, just as I as I picked up this app, one of my friends was dx, tho. There are lots of people here that have it. You will be in good company.
Iowgirl, I am more in your corner with DDD & a surgery to maybe help with several probs in my future. Anything you feel like sharing will be helpful, I am sure. And I would say the same to the whole community, I am anxious about back surgery. The neurosurg. Says I must have it.
Anyhow Iowgirl, welcome from another pain peep!
