New scary symptom, anyone?

Jun 10, 2018 6:10 PM

Hi guys,

I haven't been around much since I joined and I will introduce myself. I'm a Spanish 37 girl with fibro, possible chronic fatigue, OCD and depression.

Lately I've been experiencing new symptoms such sleepy hands and feet, but this one new is starting to take over. Since long I've been experiencing something annoying in my throat as if I had something on the right side...but this is not the reason I'm calling for help, I feel my throat hanging when I sleep and I need to put in place manually so the annoyance stops. Does anyone experienced anything similar??

Thank you much to all in advance, soft hugs

I have a friend who has a condition called Tetany and her symptoms sound similar to yours. I don’t know much else about it but it’s probably a good idea to speak to your doctor about this, especially if it’s a scary symptom.

Take care of yourself and soft hugs.

AissiaMovac, welcome. I'm not sure if I understand what you mean by hanging. Do you still have your tonsils &/or adenoids? If so, are they maybe swollen & hanging lower in the throat opening?

In the past few years I've lost several jaw teeth. It's affected my lower jaw, causing it to fall back towards my throat when I'm asleep on my back. It's actually narrowing my air passage, which made my doctors think I was having sleep apnea. Good thing we figured it out since CPAP machines aren't covered by my insurance.

I'm sorry I can't offer any help. Hopefully others have similar experience or knowledge of others with symptoms like you. Hugs love & prayers you get answers soon!☺❤🙏🌸

Flappyslady81 how do you get to know that teeth extraction can cause sleep apnea? I am curious because I haven’t seen anyone

Jolly, I have to wear a splint for TMJ. I have missing lower jaw teeth. My lower jaw slips backwards now. The jaw teeth Ive lost use to stand higher than the rest of my lower teeth, and the higher sections caught onto the splint and kept my jaw from slipping back.

So that TMJ got unstable and causing the sleep apnea, now i understood your point flappyslady thanks for discussing 🙂
